i spent so much time playing white water pinball with my friend as we were kids. he passed away at 19 in 1995 and finding this video brought me back to those fantastic years spent with him and the fun we had...rest in peace my friend. i never stopped thinking about you.
I lived on a dead end street with 5 houses on one side, 4 on the other and at the top of the street we had a card shop. 1992-about 1998 I lived in that card shop. It had this pinball machine and it was my favorite. Just watching this video made me so happy!
A prime example of an excellent game- an original theme. From what I call the golden age of pinball- the 90's- when I was a teen. I want one of these very badly. And about 2 dozen others!
i've been obsessed with this machine since i first played it in the early 90's. it has a great flow, and you really feel like you accomplished something after a good game.
So true, went to like a huge NJ arcade composium, played every single one. For some reason, this baby was just was so satisfying. There's the so-called "top lists" but this is my #1 for the moment. Earthshaker probably #2.
@pinballmiked Great, $200 was what I was hoping to spend on the LEDs, I'd love to make my machine look exactly like yours :D I'm a little curious how it would look with the arctic boulder set where all the boulders and mountains are white and Bigfoot is replaced with a white furred yeti.
I spent about $200 on the LEDs. I bought all the insert LEDs from Pinball Life, every thing else was from Cointaker. I try playing with more blue lights, but didn't care for it. Thanks for the complements.
I remember nudging the machine and using the balls momentum to hoop around the whirlpool careful not to tilt the machine. The machine starts trying to find the ball and then after failing to locate it it gives you another ball. MULTIBALL!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks. WH2O is a great game. The rules are relatively simple, but the shots are difficult to make consistently. The upper playfield and ramps make the game for me.
Beautiful, much better than finster30's, your use of more white, less blue, makes the game much more appealing to the eye, and your red lighting isn't as prominent as finster30's another plus in my book, an excellent restore, if you don't mind my asking, how much did the LEDs cost in total? PS the blue flipper rubbers really make the game shine :D
Ok, I've decided to sell my WH2O for anyone interested. It will be listed on Mr. Pinball Classifieds in several days. The game is pretty much new, only 260 games played on it.
You see I have the same machine, 1: I can always get it into the whirlpool and not the other thing. 2: When I go into that skull thing in the middle I lose a ball. 3. The chick always says Happy New Years for NO FREAKING REASON!!!!!!!
1. Do you mean Insanity Falls, the ramp on the left side of the table? Or do you mean the ramp that bypasses the Bigfoot and goes directly down to the right inlane? Because you're not supposed to go on that ramp except if you activate a special mode. 2. Are you sure you're losing a ball and it's not just getting locked? 3. I'm pretty sure you're mishearing the Multi Millions cue which plays whenever the ball rolls over the right inlane.
So when I was a kid, My dad and I would go to the pub every saterday afternoon to play pool. No one was there and he would have a beer and I'd get a soda or something and we would play pool. Really just to get out of the house more then anything. But I remember this Pinball machine being there, and I would beg my dad for quarters. To this day I remember it as one of my favorites. I hate to ask in this way but if anyone knows where I can find a PC Sim of this I'd love to know. While I'd love to play the real deal again it seems a rather unlikely thing to happen. If anyone's got an answer for me Comment, and upvote so I know the comment's there.
Pinball FX3 now has this game available to purchase. It currently has an issue where the music doesn't sound quite right but hopefully that will be fixed eventually.

I like your LED colouring. Could you share which colours you used in the different locations?

SuddenFootball yeah it seems that Insanity Falls ramp. is always a pain to get into.
As an ex-Fish Tales player I find it very annoying to hear some of the same sound samples in White Water xD Nice table!
