Thank you for this video. I’m coming to visit in July 2025. It’s the birthplace of my grandfather, who grew up in 13Cardwell Road. He emigrated to Australia in 1912. I can’t thank him enough for doing that. Really looking forward for the time when I can retrace my roots.
Snap! I lived in 13 Cardwell Road from July 1970 to mid 1977 in my teens and beyond. It is 45 years since I left and the video has brought back a lot of good memories. You forgethow beautiful the town is - the photography has really emphasised that.

Great to see my hometown again, especially the drone views. Some of the clips are just a wee bit on the short side so something to maybe think about next time - I hope there will be a future video. However, that music would put you to sleep or turn folks off from visiting Gourock. 😔 How about some Scottish Country dance tunes to cheer us up? ☺
Fantastic video beautifully shot on a rare sunny day. However the choice of music was more suitable for a funeral or views of a nuclear wasteland. My only suggestion is change the music to something more upbeat.
