I pray that those who do not accept that the Holy Eucharist is the true flesh and true blood of Jesus our divine Redeemer may have their eyes opened by the Lord, as He did with the disciples on the way to Emmaus so that they will recognize Him and come to believe in His true presence in the Holy Eucharist.
Thank you for reading the Gospel prior to the homily, it was easier to relate to the homily you so well express 🙏 As Father Mark Beard (who passed away 8/2/2023 in a car accident) would say that Jesus was jewish, Mary was Jewish & Joseph was Jewish, hence that is where our roots come from. We are so blessed by the Sacraments, through instruction & learning more about our faith we live our Catholic faith 🙏. Living a life in Jesus Christ with the Body & Blood of Jesus ohh what a blessing 🙏.
I had a Protestant friend ask me one time about the thief on the cross, when Jesus said he would be in Paradise with Him. I’m assuming if God says you will be in Paradise with Him, He made an exception! I am a revert after 40 years and I have so many Protestant friends that judge the Catholic Church that know nothing about it; they just judge. They should at least give it a chance.
Raised in the Catholic Church and departed the Catholic Church while in high school. I switched religious denominations several times and am now a Christian and attend a Southern Baptist Church and sometimes a Free Evangelical Church. Communion is important and it is symbolic. To me, communion to be an act of repentance and faith rather than becoming Christ's body. I don't need to go to confession and talk to a priest to be forgiven of sin. The pope does not represent spiritual authority. Beyond this, I still have great respect for the Catholic Church for the local church, the pastor and priests, and the members.
I have nourished truly. I have admiration in your messages and homilies.
Always feeding your lambs, thank you Fr Mike🙏🏻🐾
