Thanks for your time and effort...I think you have done a great job to thoroughly show the different aspects of the steamer. Sincerest appreciation and I am off to purchase one from Amazon!!!
It's awesome. But I've only used distilled water in it. I put a link to the hanger in the description. One thing that I noticed is that it doesn't have auto shut off when it's out of water. I forgot it running one time and when I came back home it was still on but with no water. No damage seems to be done, but I thought i'd mention this.
I had the steamboard. I never could get used to it. I found out that by streching the fabric and pressing on it, I get the results I wanted. Why do you like the metal head better? I'm tempted to try it.
@annaaherold Thanks, glad you liked it, one more thing I forgot to mention is that you can't lock the wheels on the bottom. Could be an issue if you have a smooth floor. But you can always put it over a mat.
I agree that it probably works better, my experience with irons is that there's always some risk of either burning cloths or scolding yourself or forgetting it on. I guess it's a matter of preference.
Hi, as far as the height of the aluminum rod, I was thinking if one could call the manufacturing and purchase an additional rod and thus would raise the height.
Definitely distilled water. (or water that was filtered using reverse osmosis method). I'm just uploading my review for the watts reverse osmosis system.
PLEASE show us how it works on pants, coats, drapes - super thick wrinkly materials? Tell us the kinds you bought before which sucked? How tall exactly is this Jiffy?
+ureviews It's important NOT to use only distilled or filtered water because you will end up damaging the machine. Without dissolved minerals in the water, the water will start eroding the metal in the machine. I wonder if this is why your previous steamer broke.
How does this compare to the 1550watt Rowenta Master Valet? Rowenta 1500 claims more watts, but who knows how much actual steam it produces compared to Jiffy 2000? And who knows if Rowenta Valet breaks down in a year?
Thanks for the review and updated remarks. The steam function on our iron is wearing out, and I think this is a better investment. For a minute, I thought you shot the video in front of a wrinkled drape, so you could show how it works on that, too. Woman's eye, I guess. (Oh, and that's a funny t-shirt.)
Hi, grat video. I have one like your, bought it in the USA but unfortunately it blown as I did not the transformer, Do you if there any chance to be fixed? Thanks.
Iron w/ ironing board works much better and if you have a good technique it is faster or just as fast as using your steamer. Plus you can always put water in your iron which I don't do I use starch which makes my ironing time a bit longer but the results are worth it.
Since I tuck my shirts I can avoid steaming the last inch of the bottom of my shirts. But in reality you can go around and the steam will still do it's magic. What's the problem with the collar?
the steamboard is crap. don't buy it. high end retailers use this thing. it's awesome. just don't forget to not steam too close to your hand/fingers!!!! Oh and if you overfill the water it will splash you when hot.
+Scrotato ! Sure, but if removing wrinkles is what you want, this steamer is great. No, it can't make it look pressed. no you can't use starch. But that's not the point of this product. This product works exceptionally well for what it's advertised to do.
The steamer isn't meant to replace the iron. Some fabrics aren't meant to be pressed. If you do your research, you would know the Jiffy-2000 isn't an iron, but a steamer. Its like comparing gasoline engines vs diesel engines. A steamer is a "lighter" version of an iron in terms of effectiveness and heat. Steamers are what people would want as an alternative to the iron with less power.

GREAT PRODUCT!!!
The Hanger is this one and I think it's a must: www.extrafudge.com/ref/B00065CZ7U
I have mine for over 15 years...still love it!

He started steaming at 4:15...
I added a skip option annotation! Thanks for the input.

Thanks for this! Your review and others helped me decide on this model and I love it. Curious what the distilled water does? Merci!
So that calcium doesn't build up over time. (If you have hard water).
Thanks so much for your kind words :)
im looking for a garment steamer right now. how do you like your jiffy j2000 a year later? do you still recommend it? where can i buy a metal head?
Well it wouldn't be dry now would it? :) I think it depends on the reason why they put the dry clean only tag.
Hi, as far as the height of the aluminum rod, I was thinking if one could call the manufacturing and purchase an additional rod and thus would raise the height.
They should probably offer different height rods but I'm pretty sure they don't
hi there. nice review! just wanna ask, how's your steamer? does it still work? i'm thinking of getting one. thanks in advance!
Yes. Highly recommended!

The jiffy website specifically says to use tap water or 50/50 max if your water is very hard. Have you tried tap?
I have only used Almost Distilled Water (Reverse Osmosis treated water) The thing is still going strong.
+ureviews It's important NOT to use only distilled or filtered water because you will end up damaging the machine. Without dissolved minerals in the water, the water will start eroding the metal in the machine. I wonder if this is why your previous steamer broke.
thats a professional looking product!
Thank you for sharing. It was very informational.

I hate ironing & I'm looking for something to replace my iron. Can I use this for regular clothes?
what about wool jackets or coats? I want to buy this, but there everyone reviews simple thin T-shirts...
@xNAILEDxITx I'll do a follow up video with a thicker fabric after the new years. Stay tuned !
Hi! I just got mine a week ago. I tried today and the loud steaming noise is freaking me out. I have to turn it off. Is that normal?
Thank's for the video and I noticed the hose is made in THE U>S>A> Woot Woot!!!
The entire thing is supposedly made in the U.S since the 40's or so.
Update, this thing is still going strong. Love it.
Can you use this on dry clean only dress pants?
How long does it take to warm up?
This is the BOMB, great product. I'm a guy and that's the only thing I use. Click the link in the description.

Thanks.
I would check to see if there's a fuse in this thing, otherwise I think you are out of luck...
Hi, ureviews. I really want to buy this steamer. Does yours still work great with no issues?
Grant Savory Still works like a champ! it's built to last! I wouldn't buy anything else.
هذي المكواه جدا عمليه وتختصر الوقت
Does it still work great?
Still works. But I'm not a heavy user.

This is very slow, or is it just me? I hate ironing due to the heat but my wife can do 2-3 shirts in this time...
& how much is it?
What's that sound at the 5:00 mark?
+encg I don't know :-) Maybe my daughter was doing something or the cat. But it wasn't the steamer.
How do you do the bottom of your shirt ! and the collar?
Since I tuck my shirts I can avoid steaming the last inch of the bottom of my shirts. But in reality you can go around and the steam will still do it's magic. What's the problem with the collar?
@ureviews Thanks I subscribed

Does it still work? Please let me know, interested in getting one. Need something that can last long :)
Yes, this thing is a workhorse.
ureviews wow that’s good news. you haven’t changed any parts of it since 2011, and No damage since you bought it?
No, this is a well made product. obviously your mileage may very.
cool
sick biceps though
8 minutes to steam 1 shirt?
Sukses dlm berkarya
Nice shirt.
True to life too... :-p
Is it still working ?
yep. good quality made in America.
Thanks for the *really quick* reply !
Ironing from 4:12 onwards
I took my time for the demo, realistically in real world, It takes a minute to start steaming, and about a minute for me, to steam a shirt.
This sound is a steamer, I've seen it on other videos
hI, AGAIN
IT HAS AND USA PLUG
This video could be presented in 10 seconds, skip to the end...
Model :: J-4000 pro line how much Ringgit...?
Thanks? :-p
The shirt still looks like shit after. Have people never seen the results that come from an iron? No steamer can even compare.
+Scrotato ! Sure, but if removing wrinkles is what you want, this steamer is great. No, it can't make it look pressed. no you can't use starch. But that's not the point of this product. This product works exceptionally well for what it's advertised to do.

how do you spend 8M talking and not even show basic instructions e.g. how to fill up the tank.
It's trivial,. Super easy.
o_o
O_O
He needs to get the wrinkles outta the shirt he’s wearing! 🤔
Now if this was an infomercial, I would take off my shirt and demo unwrinkling it ;-)
Thank RUclips for playback speed.. I would not have the patience to listen to slow talking people like this.
oh man, there's so much stuff to cover and you talk so fast, you should really extend this review to at least 3 more hours. jesus christ.
