    You are literally the Queen of Charms!
    Everything you make is lovely, but you definitely excel at charms. No matter what old thing you cut up to make them, they always look so professional and shop-bought.
    I love your voice and the way you pronounce your English, and watching you work is so soothing because you're very "calm" and your voice turns almost to a whisper when you're engrossed in the process.

    My husband found a huge roll of thin copper at a yard sale, and I've been cutting and embossing ever since. That was over 10 years ago. I'm getting really low, so I will be using our aluminum cans next. You are doing an amazing job with this. If you ever get any thin copper, try the same thing, then put it in Miracle gro plant fertilizer
    Mixed with water and beautiful verdigris will gather in the nooks and crannies, creating beautiful works of art. I love this video.❤❤❤

    This week this is a second revolution in the world I love to escape to. The first one was in yesterday’s video of Treasure Books channel (backing up magazine images with no glue, project 12). In this video the material and creations made of it are both extraordinary. I am afraid to cut myself and aluminum cans do not enter my house (and if they do, in my province in Canada we bring them to the bottle depot to get the deposit money back). But still, super interesting. I wonder if I can do something similar with several layers of heavy-duty foil I use in my cooking… Need to try that.

    • @Saacibo
      @Saacibo  6 месяцев назад +3

      Unfortunately, cutting up the cans is a bit of a risk. A few people mentioned in the comments that they like to cut aluminum trays, the ones that are used for baking. I haven’t tried with those, yet. Aluminum foil is thin but perhaps gluing it first to card stock and then cutting might work.
      Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment. I appreciate it very much ❤️❤️❤️

    I started cutting up cans like this a few months ago when I realized how thin the walls of Pellegrino Essenza cans are. I found that if you rip off the key on top (so it doesn’t get in the way) you can use an Oxo type can opener on the side edge of the top to get the top off. Then I just use a utility shears (or pruning scissors) to cut down the side and then work around the bottom to get that off. It is a whole lot less dangerous than using a craft knife.

    My friend Shellie has a video from years ago making jewelry and charms from soda cans and tins and her video got me started. There are some really neat floral and other patterns on some cans for teas and soda. The aluminum is hard on your cutting dies though and wears them out eventually.
