Yes, agree. I have another one, 1.5 (2008) with low range and central diff lock, it's stronger off the road. Touareg 2 its more street inclined.

@@4x4check I have a 7P with the offroad package and it's just as capable. Low range, center and rear locking diff.
I know but those only with of road mode it's no comparison with the 7l
