I had the exact same thought. The only reason I knew it was a person was because of Bill's signature tone and cadence, and je ne se quoi of the conversation flow that makes my brain deduce, "some human weirdo wrote this nonsense..." It's great!
I love the part about the ai cars knowing everything, so they feel nothing.
It’s funny because it has the vibe but it also feels very human

I feel like we're watching someone's dream animated before our eyes. Complex but meaningless, simple but profound, strangely weird but oddly comforting.
I feel like Bill Wurtz just daydreams and writes it all down as a video script sometimes

i think its comforting because even though everything is weird and surreal and you cant understand it, these 2 say and act like everything is fine which makes YOU think everything is fine

it's comforting to me because it makes me feel like nothing really matters
Reminds me of middle school conversations trying to be deep
“Sounds like you need a way to predict the past. Find out how to predict when the current moment is gonna be the past, and then check up on certain details because you know you won’t be able to access them anymore.”
That is probably one of the most profound things you’ve ever said on this channel.
Side note: That is some amazing UV unwrapping on those pants. I know how hard and tedious that is, and I appreciate how much time you put into that.
What do you mean about the UV unwrapping, sorry? I googled it but I don't really get it or what you mean in this context. Sorry. Thanks!
Something about this is so calming. The lack of other people, just these two; the way even when everyone else is coming back or going away, they remain where they are, making conversation in calm voices. Just something about it.

I love how these scenes are like poetry. There is very little tangible information but there are so many feelings. I love how they are structured as conversations between friends, because debating what "down the road" is or if the cars are coming or going is something I could see myself doing with my buds. And then there are also just little vibes like "I've never learned to go up" that just hit sort of different.
I love Bill Wurtz, man, I've never seen anyone with talent like his
Despite how wacky everything that happens in these videos is, I am flabbergasted how natural the conversations are. never have i ever seen a more well constructed animation with possibly, the best character dialog in the history of youtube. i could watch this for hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, and even centuries. i will not be able to survive as long as i would like to continue my learning about how everything is perfect, but once i find out how to go up, everything will make sense.
What's weird is that they aren't really feeling emotion but they are, see how their faces don't move that much, they do talk but their mouths don't smile or frown, their eyes don't blink, and their eyebrows don't move, but yet... They sound like they have emotion, they have minds, they don't sound like emotionless robots despite the fact they look like that, they gave personalities, a short can be a show, a show can be a movie, a movie can be movies, all without character without face emotions but voice emotions. It could be popular, the way bill makes these are interesting.
And also. This tiny animation feels like an adventure, I love these people because they stir up a conversation and never stop. True friendship.
There’s something so uncanny about these conversations. It’s like an AI approximation of human dialogue. It flows conversationally perfectly, yet says nothing. I’m choosing to call it liminal dialogue. It’s mesmerising and eerie and beautiful and freaky all at once, yet none at any point.
The back-sounds time
Liminal is not the correct word. Liminal means transitional. “Uncanny” might be a better descriptor

this is so relatable. It feels like those dreams that are realistic enough to not make you wonder if it's a dream but so borderline unrealistic that you know it's a dream even in your sleep
yeah
That's actually just how memory works. Every time we "play back" a memory in our mind, we unintentionally alter it slightly, and that version sticks.
I'm no expert on this but it's probably more evident with dreams since they don't conform to what we expect from the real world, anyways.
Bill is like the Picasso of animation, only he knows what his creations mean.
I really need more videos and experiences like these. It’s like an uncanny, yet comfortable form of dissociation. A temporary distraction that isn’t either good or bad. The feeling of numbness, yet feeling like your safe.

3:22 lore update; look at the sign on the right that only appears for a few moments
- this town probably has a HOA called Perfect Community
- you can't park from 2-5 AM, or when there's 10' snowfall that hasn't been cleared
- you can only think or contemplate from 8am to noon or 7pm to 9pm, and not on Sundays, thus the video is likely set within those limits as our protagonists are both thinking and contemplating
are these just random details that Bill didn't put on that sign for any particular reason? yes. do you care anyway? probably.

Somehow Bill is able to perfectly capture the kinds of thoughts that usually only echo in the back of people's heads
This feels both comforting and familiar but also entirely incomprehensible-like trying to remember a dream, or having a dream made up of jumbled memories. There’s something profound to how the two individuals interact with the world and with each other-despite all of their questions and circular conversations, they still think their reality is perfect, and I wonder if it has to do with the fact that they’re together.
Their reality only really has cohesion because they’re able to interact with one another, but it only has meaning because we, the audience, can watch it

Like a dream. Dreams often have no "real" continuity, but they still make sense at the moment and flow seamless from one thing to another, even though it doesn't make sense. And you feel like you know what's going on, and it has emotional impact on you.
Something about the way you wrote this makes it sound like lyrics to a future Bill Wurtz song.
1. the quiet moments give time to breath
2. the quick speech emphasizes the silent moments by not mentally taking as much effort as it would at normal pace
3. we seek meaning in exchanges and so when something is completely random it make us think
4. the way the dialogue goes about is very much so "thoughts bouncing around" themed, like ADHD personified.
5. you feel like part of the conversation because it's a relatively simple conversation that doesn't delve into anything that might separate you from it.
as far as I know, those are the reasons. might be missing something obvious.
