@martineden110 Mi fa piacere che ancora qualcuno si ricorda di McNair, forse questo pezzo è la cosa piu riuscita della sua esigua produzione discografica (in questo è stato perfettamente coerente col deprimente destino del jazzista sottostimato e anonimo morto anzitempo tragicamente) l'assolo ipersoffiato che serpeggia lungo tutto il brano come una scheggia impazzita è di una intensità espressiva che raramente ho ritrovato....
La preparazione tecnica è notevole, si sente che ha studiato e assimilato il linguaggio dei grossi flautisti afroamericani, da Eric Dolphy a Roland Kirk, senza dimenticare James Moody e Yusef Lateef.....

Del resto quei musicisti inglesi (pensa a Ian Carr, Don Rendell, Dizzy Reece, Joe Harriot, senza dimenticare Graham Bond e i Colosseum più rock) sono un punto di riferimento musicale, originali nonostante il debito con i grandi modelli americani. Nei prossimi giorni inserirò alcune rarità, tra cui Amancio D'Silva e altri. Resta in contatto ciao
