1. It's still enough to make the train go at ~70 mph, which is fine.
2. "No overbank turns". Damn right it doesn't matter.
3. "Float" airtime hills are big enough to give you very decent airtime. The ride has absolutely no pretentions other than giving good airtime and being the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the *park*.
4. So...? Don't go there if you don't want to. If you go womewhere just to whine about it, better not go at all.

AbstractAva I haven’t rode it but I’ll say this, The first drop might be scary to you but after that you’ll have a blast. If you haven’t rode a big roller coaster then you definitely should

Very fun ride, while it's not as crazy as others, the fact that it's extremely comfortable during the whole ride, no rough parts, makes it one of my favorites. Just sit and enjoy some high adrenaline drops. Me and my mother used to get there very early, enter the park first and run as fast as we could all the way to the other side of the park. We would be able to do it so many times back to back because there was no lines yet. My mother passed away recently, but the Goliath is one of the many awesome memories I have of her.

I love B&M coasters. They're so fun and fast and exciting. I can do loops and stuff but just the speed and the drops are so fulfilling. Definitely my favorite type of rollercoster.
@singalongwithtom It's because of how we had to mount the camera. Normally, I also use a handheld camera duct taped to my hand for audio, and then I mix the two together, but in this case the park wouldn't allow me to use any handheld cameras, even if they were taped down. So I had to go with the audio from the camera we mounted. Sorry.

The thing about Goliath is that yes, it's the tallest and fastest ride at La Ronde, but the ride itself is about the airtime. If you like airtime then this is the ride for you.
Edit: It's not even that tall and fast, the first trop doesn't go over 200 feet. It might not be as tall/fast as Behemoth or Nitro but lots of people prefer Goliath because of the airtime.

I just did it twice today, it's like the first time ever because i was scared 2 years ago when I was at La Ronde! I really enjoyed it, it became my favorite rollercoaster! 😆😲

This my mom and my younger brothers first roller coaster last year. My sister and I both convinced them to ride it and they loved it.

i'm scared of heights and I did this. cried in the beginning... but when you go down the 1st time, you don't see the rails, so you literally feel like you're gonna fall actually, in all of the moments you go down, you don't see the rails. makes it even scarier

I have ridden more than 4th time per day because there’re no people in line, it took me only 5 minutes without using a Flash Pass. Also I sat in the front seat! That is my favorite ride at La Ronde! That is the best ride ever!

But it's in ontario. Just that makes it worse. La Ronde is our park, it has a special place in our hearts even though six fucks don't give a shit about it. It was sold to them in 2001 and... yeah. It's got a few ok rides since then like the Vampire and the Goliath but that's it. It never should have been sold to those fucking morons.

This "baby ride" was Canada's largest, fastest and tallest roller coaster before Behemoth and Leviathan, which makes it the third biggest roller coaster in Canada, and not making it a "baby ride". This is basically the same thing as Behemoth.

Yesterday I was going to Six-Flags à La Ronde. I already get in the ride Goliath for 2 Times, One time for the Day time and I tried with the Night time. This one the night time is so awesome! This ride is my favorite!

this is a fun roller coaster that is all about airtime, yes watching the video is boring but the ride itself is exciting and fun, like every B & M ride

I went to La Ronde so ask me questions about any of the roller coasters cause I pretty much did all of them.
The goliath is better for starters to get used to roller coasters, in my opinion. So if you want to face you fears, start of with this ride. The drop is terrifying but so free at the same time.

Well, I've never went to this amazing Six Flags Amusement Park before, but I went to Six Flags Great America and it was fun. They have the different Goliath roller coaster.

Lol, why are so many people hating on this ride? It's one of the least-trimmed B&M's and is pretty much the most heavily airtime focused of its type.
TPR's website has a lot of roller coaster / theme park reviews. Their YT channel is merely where they post their footage.

I feel bad for this ride, it looks really cute and it would be really sad if anything happened to it like if it got taken out and moved somewhere else or if they just took the tracks apart and sent them somewhere to just root or rust away, all these B&M Tracks are just SHOOOOOOW CUTE!!!!

+creeirwin Leviathan is more about speed and height, this is more about hills and airtime. Even if Goliath is way smaller, it's still really fun! It's like the Behemoth on a smaller scale.

Its not lame. Its so fun, its comfortable too! I don't think I've only ridden baby rides too! I have ridden Bizzaro, Kingda Ka, Lex Luthor:Drop of Doom, even El toro! I have ridden lots, and this is one of my favorites and could be my favorite. Don't judge it by looking at it!

This roller coaster is just an out and back coaster...Not a lot of elements to make it very thrilling, but it has nice hills...
I think the behometh is better too , but there is no way this thing is a baby ride. It has steep drops and speeds that reach up to almost 70 mph

i've tried some of this kind and i think i would be better to had some huge curve to feel to speed more than just some up and down
i know for la rone im from montreal , but every coaster of this kind are almost the same
And the islands of la ronde are made with the metros (subway) dirt when they where building it so the land is not very solid.
No the métro was build in the 1960's and the islands: before there where three islands: île St hélène, île Ronde and île St Pierre and île St Hélènes was expanded and île Ronde became part of île St-Hélènes and île St-Pierre was expanded to so they renamed it île Notre-Dame. And they where all expanded with the métro's dirt in the 60's for Expo 67.

To everyone saying that this ride looks really bad: the only reason they couldnt make it higher, faster or longer is because LaRonde is on an island and there is really not much space to build roller coasters! At least were lucky enough to have an amusement park! :)

theres a goliath rolloer coaster in magic mountain velincia,ca,usa with a 255FT and a 175FT drop :D it even goes underground and its fucking amazing
Hey I'm 14 and will be going here this summer. I was wondering if any of you know if this is scarier than it looks, or if it's really just an easy ride. I have a hard time on roller coasters sometimes and was hoping I could do this one as it seems pretty easy going. Any thoughts?

It has wicked airtime which makes it the best also! By the way this the brother of Ahoule96, I'm the brave one though. She was scared to ride Goliath and know it is her favorite ride next to kingda ka which is not as scary as it looks! Kingda ka is just high,but super fun!
Change the name, that name has been used more than any other ride on earth.
Goliath has been used only 7 times. Comparatively, "Roller Coaster" has been used 356 times, "Coaster" 28 times, "Big Dipper" 38 times, "Batman the Ride" 10 times, and some variation of Superman has been used 18 times.
