    I just did that yesterday. Trust me, it is much more scarier when you DO it. This video does give the feeling that it's going slow, but really...the speed is amazingly fast and the feeling is VERY intense! I adore this ride! I am terrified by it, but I will always do it every time I'll go to La Ronde!

    The supports you see in this video are for the "Super Manège" (translates to "Super Ride"), It's a tiny coaster, but it's definitely not a kiddie ride, with a couple corkscrews. I actually really enjoy it (It's often dismissed, so lines are usually short). I use it as a stepping stone for those who are not entirely comfortable with coasters.

    My favorite thing about this coaster is that there's so much framing that it just looks like a giant, jumbled, wood pile, and you're just zooming through claustrophobic tunnels through it,

      Here's a question for Rob and the rest of the Alvey coaster loving crew... I'm curious to know despite the stupidly slow lift hill " in earlier years they did run both tracks at the same time and the lift hill was a much more normal speed, what are your thoughts on the monster and where would you rank it among traditional woodies?

    Montreal, Canada?! Oh my god!! You guys were in Montreal!? come to Toronto!!! That's where I'm from, we have this even called The Ex that only takes place for 2 weeks in August. It's in the heart of downtown Toronto. OR if you want non-carnival type roller coasters there's always Wonderland, but it's way up in Vaughan.

    I was 7 when I went there to Montréal back in 2008. Time flies. I still remember that ride but I never tried it (of course because I was small obviously). I do remember that one and the bridge that is just near la ronde. I tried the water one, I still have the photo. It was originally a trip to Stafford, VA, to visit my cousins, then we left and stopped in Washington, then we left Washington, and stopped for a while in Manhattan, NYC. We took the train to Montreal but the train had some difficulties and we had to go in bus. I do remember all that but the thing that I remember the most is Montréal. I wanna go there again so bad. but it's kinda expensive because I live in Central America and a nonstop flight there is really expensive.

  • @Gajaz1
    @Gajaz1 12 лет назад

    what you dont understand is that the noise behind isnt the sound of the chain lift. its simply the thing who ''crank'' the train if there was an accident like ; the train goes up.... and... poof ! the chain broke ! but the cranking thing make that the train stay on the rail. if the cranking thing wasnt there, the train will go down and crash.
    understand ?

    This ride doesn't look that bad. I will probably not do it though. I've been at this park also. My grade at my school did a trip to ottawa and montreal and we came here when we were in montreal. It was a really awesome trip and it was a really awesome day at this theme park!

    I think you may have misunderstood me because I mentioned nothing about the sound of it. The "Made in China" comment was to joke about how slow the chain lift is. And it's called an Anti-Rollback Device, "dogs" found under the cars fall and place into the teeths on the ratchet.

    • @TitanLRV
      @TitanLRV 10 лет назад +1

      Cause their not designed to have PTC trains and they got those last years cause before thos they had Morgan trains and those almost didn't shake.

    • @YMMxTrIcKzz
      @YMMxTrIcKzz 10 лет назад

      They've actually completely redesigned the coaster, it's all cushioned now and much more comfortable and no bruises. I went there a couple days ago and it was better then without the cushions A LOT. And btw quick fact this is the biggest and longest wooden rollercoaster in all of North America :D

    • @TitanLRV
      @TitanLRV 10 лет назад

      I knew that years ago cause I'm member of a forum about La Ronde so I know a lot of facts and roumors about the park. And fun fact I went there today :P

    • @TitanLRV

      I think you meant biggest and fastest double track wooden coaster in north america and in the world

    • @mavricksone
      @mavricksone 10 лет назад +1

      I've been on this ride countless times, and i gotta say that the new trains don't make justice to what the ride used to be, the old Morgan trains were not as confortable as the new ones, but they practically didn't shake so they made the ride more fluid. The new PTC are way more heavy than the old ones, the trains shakes a lot, they also make a loud noise because they shake a lot. Although, the old trains were worn, they weren't as secured has they used to be. The experience on this ride as completely changed. Now when i'm going to La Ronde i only do this track once and i'm good for the day.
      Also the installation of the new trains brought a lot of problems, due to their overweight, the ride was closed for the whole 2013 season. Now they seem to have fixed the problem by reducing the length of the trains (they removed 8 sitting places), but they cannot make four trains run at the same time, therefore the waiting is way longer now... Like i said the experience on this ride changed a lot...

  • @frutiemax
    @frutiemax 12 лет назад

    It is also my home park, but I hope you realize there are so many great wooden roller coasters in the world compared to Le Monstre (El Toro, Texas Giant, etc). I've done it so many times and I can say the only good thing about it is the large helixes.... And it's pretty much it, it's not what you expect from the highest dual track wooden coaster in the world. You would expect constant high speed, lot of airtime like Collosos at Six Flags Magic Mountain but there's nothing like that on Le Monstre

  • @dreamershavemorefun

The next ones are Roar at six flags discovery kingdom, Twisted twins at Kentucky Kingdom, the new coaster for Dollywood in 2016 and Wildfire at Kōlmarden in 2016 and there's already rumours going on between the employees for years now that le Cobra will get demolished for something big for the park's 50th anniversary in 2017 kinda how in 2006 we got Goliath for the park's 40th anniversary in 2007.

      Then how come there's like 30% of the track missing and not the supports? Go to screamscape and you will find pictures proving that the retracking has already started like a month ago. Also All american thrills posted pictures of it yesterday. And also RMC published a document where it said that they where hiring employees for its projects in America for 2016 and in the document it said that there was one project in California, one in Tennessee and one in Kentucky.
