I like how this takes a different approach to the song(s) than Tee's mix for Mania. To me, this focuses on more of the main instruments rather than the added ambience of Tee's version. Another great mix to add to your resume. (although i do like the intro of Tee's mix more with it having the intro of Act 2 pls dont hurt me) Another thing, major congrats on getting your Marble Garden mix featured on the Sonic channel's Fan Spotlight playlist. That's pretty awesome.
@@RandomTomatoMusic Am I wrong though? ...No, really, am I? Listen to some Genesis music with a mouthful of pennies and get back to me with your results.
The remix itself is a matter of each one's taste, but one thing is absolutely sure about this guy's work, that the audio quality is entirely something else, even compared to other remix musics. It's like OST albums of remix itself that sold seperately
MegamanNG tee mix does not have the oooomf, or the percussions the original had, but im more than happy to play a new version of the lvl i replayed the most on sonic classic collection
Nailed it!! ...........mixing both act one and 2 together and did it fantastically. and you got the chorus just right. most remixes cant seem to get the chorus right.
this is so crisp and clean. its not all muddied up with clean sounds and some muddy ones like some other folks remixes are, the whole thing is clean and sharp. that is phenomenal mixing and mastering
it always pissed me off that the game had chunks for doors but they were never used for the sections where you go in/out of the ship except for at the very very end
I hope. I just thought it was weird that they had the ability to have doors in/out of the ship. but every time you exit the ship it looks more like you're just waking out a hole in the wall
update: there's doors now, but they're not the same door chunk I'm referring to. That being said, the new doors are way cooler, with an actual animation and an audible "SLAM!", as opposed to just being fancy tile assets.
Edit (4.27.2021): I decided to listen to this remix again after a couple of years, and it has actually grown on me. -- Original comment (2017): In my honest opinion, I do not really like this one much. This feels more like a custom 16-bit version since you mostly added layers of Sega Genesis instruments, as well as General MIDI synths. Additionally, you used the Sonic 1/2 snare, something that the official Sonic Generations remixes did not use as the main snare. Also, the volume of the bass has been drastically reduced.
@Ben - Definitive Dubs The snare is only in higher quality, but it's pretty much the same one. Also, the 16-bit snares used in Cash Cash remixes were not the dominant snare, merely the ones used in the background.
The Smart Idiot The S1/2 snares used in Cash Cash/classic remixes were not the dominant snare, merely the ones used in the background or as short snippets.
