We had a real early chance in January 2020 to test a bunch of interesting skis coming season 2020/2021. Here is a what our four test riders thought of the Elan Ripstick 96.

Finally had a chance to test my new Black Edition Ripstick 96 in Japan. My verdict, best ski's I have ever put on my feet. They are everything I every wanted or needed on the slopes and I could not fault them at all, actually just one fault, I wish that Elan had marked the LEFT and RIGHT in say a fluro green colour as it is extremely difficult to see the left or right print in certain conditions
You're right. The print that denotes "left" and "right" is minuscule, and difficult to see under many conditions. I use the graphics on the top sheet as a point of reference. On mine (bought in 2019) the word "elan" is printed near the tip of each ski. On the left ski, it is printed on the outer left side. Conversely, on the right ski, "elan" is printed on the outer right of the ski.
If the skis are on the correctly aligned, the 2 "elans" will be far away from one another, each on the outside their respective skis. If you have the skis the wrong way, the 2 "elans" will be right beside each other.
Yes, fantastic skis.
Hope this helps.
A big part of this skis appeal is how it does off piste. So I feel like these reviews would be a lot more useful if the reviewers tried it out on more than just a couple groomer laps.
What lens and goggles does.she have? They look amazing!
The manufacturer is POC. Without the vents on the front of those goggles, they appear to be the Clarity lens. The goggle model is either the Retina Clarity or the Opsin Clarity.
Whats the difference between the 2019/20 and the 2021 ripstick? 🤔
I believe it’s mainly the different way they’ve used carbon in the construction, sits it in between the old version and the black version
Can a non French ski get a fair shake in France... guess not!!!
This was shot in Sweden.
