  • It took us 6 months and $1,500 to make a beer. Was it WORTH IT!? We used homegrown hops, fresh rosemary, and local malts to make the world's most expensive(ish) wet hop, homebrew beer. Was it even good!? Make sure to watch until the end to find out.

    Another great video. You guys rock!
    *saison was originally brewed in winter and consumed in summer during harvest
    *once the hop plant reaches some height, cut of the leaves of the first 3ft. Keeps bugs and diseases out!

    Careful, those hops are planted pretty close together. In another year or two the rhizomes of all 3 are going to be one big tangled mess. My hops sprout out of the earth as far as 18 inches from where I stuck the rhizome in the ground 3 years ago.

    Why caramunich? Not a grain I typically see in farmhouse ales. I’d have gone for triticale or spelt. Maybe a bit of unmalted adjunct like oats, rye, etc

  • @dennislnbrewing
    @dennislnbrewing 2 года назад +1

    wow. Including the price of the brewing equipment and kegs in the "price" to make this beer. I guess it gets clicks, but unless you bought it for just this beer and threw it away afterwards, that don't make no sense.
    I would never use fresh hops for the boil addition again. Either way there's tons of volume loss.
