Johnny seems excellent at guarding large open ground, where his lack of mobility is less of an issue and his oppressive lethality really shines. Use his ability right and it should let you catch victims in these open areas, i.e. hiding in bushes near an outdoor objective.
every lobby is filled with a sissy & hitchhiker. so many people join then leave because they don’t want to play anything else but i’ve started using johnny more & personally think cook will be a great killer once he’s max level so i’ve started using those two more often as both are NEVER taken
Honestly I think Hitchhiker is the strongest family member as of now, he can relentlessly hound survivors and flush them out so other family members can kill them

Sissy with max blood harvesting with damage can rival him. hitchhiker is best killer and sissy is best offensive tracking support cuz she can hyper feed grampa with wall-hacks. bubba is just there to break pallets and sometimes 1 shot people.

Heck with some builds you can installkill some victims. Johnny is just a mini bubba except you just make your team weaker since you lose a mobility killer.
Johnny is highly underated his ability is really good. Any time your in a chase and a survivor uses a crawl space or narrow entrance. Just use your ability interact with one of their footprints and pick up their trail on the other side of the obstacle they just used to lose you. The prints will then bring you right to where they are hiding. However, this doesnt work very well in the basement or indoors though where there are so many narrow spaces and crawlspaces.
Max level cook who knows what he's doing and where the blood is can level grandpa really fast. Before victims can really get out of the basement unless they know what they're doing.
Cook is almost a necessity on this map. That front door escape is really rough to defend without cook’s ability to add additional locks. Even then Connie can just pop them. And once they’re off you can’t replace even if you have another lock to use. This probably should be changed. This map is kinda awful for the family.
Johnny is easily the worst killer. yes he can track but he doesn't make up for it with the lack of his speed and inability to fit through gaps and crawl spaces it almost feels he wasn't given the wrong ability. IMO sissy is the best killer, she can fit through gaps, can poison objects, block off areas with smoke and with her poison-infused attack easily manage a free kill.
With how the meta is going... I think that family picks are going to have to be forced into a leather face, 1 chase, and 1 intel family member. Having 2 chase members is way way stronger than having a Cook or Johhny. The game could do what it does with "leatherface is required to start" but apply it to REQUIRING some combination of Cook or Johnny, and Sissy or Hitchhiker Edit- this especially true since sissy is so good at blood collection, having her be able to do that WHILE a hitch hiker still supplies massive pressure is just a much better alternative than Cook or Jhonny

He's similar. I've started thinking of Cook/Johnny as Trackers, Hitchhiker/Sissy as Rushers, and Leatherface is... Leatherface. Both Cook and Johnny have relatively poor chasing power but very high damage and blood collection, with abilities designed to help them find where Victims are (and point them out to the family). Both Hitchhiker and Sissy can follow Victims through everything except Leatherface Barricades and wells, making them absolutely relentless once they get on a Victim, but with really low damage and low top speeds meaning that them taking a victim down by themselves can take a really long time, and both have placed-trap-like abilities. Leatherface is Leatherface, you always have to have him and he does absolutely ludicrous damage and is very fast with decent stamina... all he does is kill Victims but he does it very well.
no he is a shit mix of leatherface and cook, he needs a rework, he has no additional items that slow the game down or effect the environment. would be neat if he would pick up barbed wire and place it on the areas where survivors slide through to cause extra damage. he is also shit at gathering blood and his moblity is really bad. when you play with a johhny everyone else is forcewd to pick up the slack and it really hurts the team

@@reeve1991 i think its more that cook & Johnny are early game-rush kill characters. you need to get kills early and fast to win with those two. they're good when grampa is lvl 0-1 because they have base-kit tracking so they can rush survivors to kill them. hitchhiker & sissy are late game characters. they're weaker in early game because they do not have tracking in their kit but the longer the match goes on, the stronger they become because their vaulting is extremely powerful when grampa is lvl 5. Also the more time that goes on, the more time leatherface can break all the pallets so those pallet spots where hitchhiker & sissy suffer from disappear in late game. in the end, if you pick cook & johnny, your playing early game-rush down while if you pick hitchhiker/sissy, your playing full late game. pick 1 from each category means that your balanced for early game and late game but do not excel in either one.

Tru definitely needs to learn to use the tracking skill more. Johnny's brutal strength is great, but it doesn't even compare to his tracking skill.
Love Johnny, his mobility is awful but killing victims in just four hits is awesome!

he’s fast as heck, he can’t get through gaps but his build is for team play & once you’re caught out in the open against johnny they’re done for

I see a lot of Hitchhiker too. Cook is the only one I rarely see since he really needs to be in a group.

Johnny can kick crawl spaces close, you should do that and use his ability when they run off so you can track em
