He will be missed by all! RIP
"I hope that makes sense" Everything John says makes sense lol.
John could contradict himself with every other word and I'd still understand
I feel keeping a logbook is one of the best ways for anyone to track of their progress, help ensure they keep pushing harder, & also helps with consistency. Vital for beginners, but can be helpful for more advanced levels as you need to dial things in even more.
Love these continued videos from John. He was & will always be one of the best in the industry.
"Even dead I'm the hero"
Suits for him so much❤️
The reason i keep a logbook, is because i tend to forget what exercises i wanted to do and how much weight i needed for the aimed rep. range.
It's less about the progression of adding more weights than before, but rather not to forget what i wanted to do. 🙂
Yea same, it's primarily to keep track of all the numbers for each exercise on what machine lol. I want to know the general number for what weight I'm going to end up at (not that I care to beat it every single time), and any notes I should know about.
johns still teachin us, I feel like timmy turner.
John nailed the training dialogue every time that’s why I found and still find his videos invaluable. Miss him so much. Jim Harrison. Cheshire. UK.
Loving these continued uploads. I watch every single one. Miss you Mountain Dog.
Rip legend.
I miss his Q&A’s so much.
Me too!
Same here
Still inspiring us. Cheers.
💪 information right there! Thank you Mountain Dog! 🙏
Such a great guy. Legend.
Kind of exactly what I needed!
Fantastic exercise advice as always!😁 Thank you John for your channel and the knowledge you shared. John meadows all the way!
Cheers,
Billy
Totally agree. I am probably on the low side of middle group. My log book helps keep me focused on advancing.
Solid advice, as always with John Meadows. I'm keeping a digital logbook lately.
Telegram or email the day's workout to myself. Archive it into drop box.
No notebook to keep track of or lose & fast easy access to previous entries anywhere anytime.
Just use your smart phone.
Log books also help me navigate what I'm doing in the gym. I fill out all the exercises so I don't forget or skip any. Helps to keep me accountable. But also just like John said if I'm feeling like my last set wasn't really pushing it I'll add in another set. I never considered putting rest time in my log book! Great tips as always.
"Helps to keep me accountable. "
That is exactly the way I was trying to phrase it in my head. When I wasn't keeping a log I would forget what I was aiming for and I would go easy on myself. It was a plateau of my own making.
Same for me- I like having the log book with exercises and a rough draft of sets/reps pre filled. I can either check it off, adjust the numbers to what I actually did or make any other notes for future workouts. Really great tool!
Last minute's note is GOLD 👌
John is now my guardian gym angel. Keeping me on point. Ery day! I'll echo the last "everything John says makes sense"!
You help us a lot
Still thinking about Mr Meadows every time I step into the gym. Especially on back day!
I did Meadows Rows for the first time yesterday and they were awesome! I'm just getting back into the gym after letting myself go so I only used the bar for the rows, but I loved them.
Thank you Jon 🙏🏽
