I just realized that a big reason I tune into pasta grammar is to hear Eva talk.
And her beautiful hair
@@Arch492 She does have beautiful hair.
Me too
@@Arch492 ¹
Many people would probably tune in to listen to her talk and admire her hair, even if she couldn’t cook.
This is such a great cake. I make it at least twice yearly, usually at Easter and during summer. I add a teaspoon of orange flower water to the cake and another teaspoon to the powdered sugar glaze. It gives it a floral flavor that adds a nice quality to the cake. Che Bella la torta!
😎
this was my mum's favourite cake to bake and i've been craving it badly for a few days.... not to be weird but eva actually looks exactly like my mum did, so this video hit a little harder :') thanks guys for the amazing video as always, bravi ♥
Bless you, your Mother must be watching as well. Now you can make her cake and remember her!
I really like this way, Eva teaching and guiding Harper into cooking, makes it very easy for us to learn alongside Harper. Great video as usual. The pan d'arancio looks delicious.
My husband brought home the sweetest, juiciest oranges and we ate them all in record time. Then you go making a cake that looks amazing! Cakegods, please let there be more of those oranges at our local store!
Harper, you’re becoming an amazing home chef!! Next you both will be opening a restaurant! Arizona would surely welcome an authentic Italian restaurant 🇮🇹🍝🍕👩🏻🍳👨🏼🍳
Don’t do it unless you grew up working in one. Too much pressure and stress for very little money. Just enjoy yourself doing home cooking and teaching it.
@@leonpse yeah. If kitchen nightmares has taught me one thing. It's that I don't have what it takes to run a restaurant. 😂😂😂
My husband is going to want this cake. Looks delicious. By the way when you blend the whole orange and eat it it gives you more energy than coffee. My mom made us kids eat it all even the seeds. She had three orange trees and one apricot tree. I miss her every day
This is similar to a French genoise cake and looks delicious. So FYI for people who do not normally cook, between 4:03 and 4:15, the time is compressed. It actually requires 5 minutes or more of constant beating at high speed until the egg and sugar turn pale and should be thick and fall from the beaters or a spatula in a ribbon. That's when it has enough structure for the flour to fold in. Start with room temperature eggs.
You need to grease and flour the pan so the cake does not stick but the light dusting of flour also helps the cake to climb up the walls of the pan so the cake won''t sink.
Great post!
Ware is the actual recipe at? I cant see it.
@@jeffmcelroy5168
It was in the description when I watched this video 5 days ago. It was posted as a link to their website. The recipe is on their website.
@@jeffmcelroy5168
Yep, it’s still there. Video descriptions are good to read lol.
Very helpful post. I don't like it when content creators leave important information out. I don't mind smart edits, but at least explain to viewers how long it takes to get beaten eggs to pale white, and eggs need to be at room temperature. After 2 minutes of beating, most people give up, and that's not long enough to achieve successful results.
What a wonderful Orange cake recipe. It sure looks delicious and I will be making it.
Thank you guys for this lovely orange cake recipe! I will be making it for my Italian mother. She is going to love it!!!!
Φανταστικό κέικ 🍰 μπράβο σας!!!! Είστε υπέροχοι και οι δύο, παιδιά να είστε πάντα καλά!!!! Πολλά φιλιά από Greece 😘😘😘😘💞
Love how Eva always explains how to eat it too!
😂😂😂
Except the crumbs falling to the floor from her hands. My housekeeper would not be pleased. I will serve this cake with a fork.
@@KJ_nyc There's this thing called a plate you can use to catch the crumbs.
@@annemary9680 LOL. If only hungry people, even family members, would be so considerate to use one.
@@PastaGrammar uncooked oranges purée added ,taste bitter
Lovely, as a greek i objerve that most south Italy recipes are very similar with Greek ones, maybe Magnia Grecia left more than what we believe. Grazie per aver condiviso
I made this yesterday! It was so fabulous that I need to make another one today. Half of it I left at middle son’s house and the other half is almost gone, well will be after I’ve had breakfast this morning. I’ll make another one to share with my youngest son today. This recipe will be a family favorite! Thank you. 💜
My old Italian neighbour made this cake once. I bought it at the church bake sale. It lasted 5 minutes. Great with a cup of tea.
So I've been making this cake since I saw this video 2 years ago... Well today I decided to make the cake before I realized that I didn't have any oranges so I used 3 limes instead... It was fantastic. Def recommend giving it a try
I'm Sicilian, as was my ex and her entire family, and so is the majority of the people in my hometown (in rural Australia), and the only time I ever ate this cake was when visiting my Zie in Brisbane. I really wanted the recipe so I could recreate it, and now thanks to you, I can do that.
Grazzi!
I love you guys. I'm so happy that you two have found each other. You have no idea how you set an example for our younger generations. This is how a couple explores the world together. Living, loving and learning together. ❤
Oranges are one of nature's greatest inventions, so hard to go wrong with 'em, and I've been wanting to try all kinds of orange recipes lately. I'm looking forward to this one soon! When Harper nails the recipe pretty easily, it gives hope to all of us rookie bakers lol
It's been decades since I ate the last good genuine TRUE orange: natural, fragrant and tasty. A flavor that unfortunately I find it hard to remember. I couldn't find them in stores anymore.
Il pan d’arancia sembra semplicemente delizioso! Lo farò per mia moglie siciliana e i nostri ragazzi. Eva e Harper, grazie per un'altra ricetta classica siciliana! Un abbraccio dal Canada! 😊🇮🇹🇨🇦
❤️❤️❤️
This was a wonderful cake! We followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great. We might add some chocolate chips or a chocolate glaze next time. The orange paste out of the blender would make a great marmalade substitute! Thanks for the inspiration!
This looks amazing! Can't wait to try it and I love LEMON so I am going to try that version too. Love you guys!
That cake looks amazing. I love your videos, they give me so many ideas about Italian cooking. Thank you for them and keep up the great work.
Oh my goodness! I can't wait to try this!! Thank you for sharing with us!
I made this recipe last night. It is wonderful! It tastes like a bit of summer in the winter. Grazie mille per la ricetta!
I've made this three times since I first saw this. I love it! Thank you for the recipe.
I'm looking forward to making this cake so much! I have leftover almond flour from cookies that I made for Christmas and assumed I'd be soon looking up recipes using it. Now I know that I'll be making this often because I love citrus fruit desserts and I'm not a fan of overly sweet ones. Thanks for another great recipe and tutorial!
💁♀️ Love you used the whole orange, Italians never let anything go to waste..👏👏bravo
*_WHEN IT COMES TO USING CITRUS FRUITS IN DIFFERENT WAYS, I DON'T THINK ANYBODY DOES IT BETTER THAN SOUTHERN ITALIANS._*
What a pretty cake! Looks and tastes like sunshine. Perfect for a freezing overcast winter day.
I can’t thank you enough for this recipe. I made this today and it was absolutely delicious.
Another great recipe for me to try. Great job, Harper👏🏻
It looks wonderful, I will definitely try it.
That looks good I’m going to make this for my husband’s birthday next week thank you for the recipe ❤️
you guys are the BEST! I will def. try this ♥
I like how Harper ever so tactfully avoided making a comment when Eva pointed out the benefit of sifting the flour is that it puts "h'air" into the cake. 😄💝
Lovely recipe and video! I’m definitely going to give this a try
A good reason why Sicilians actually do know their way around sugar is that through the Middle Ages Sicily was one of the main sugar producers in Europe. Sicily just has the right climate for sugarcane.
I’m from Sicilian blood and I love everything that went into this cake. I can’t wait. to make it. I might even try arancia rosa. Grazie Mille.
I love watching the two of you make food. 😋
I'm going to try this; looks so sicilian good.
Just made this and it's super yummy! Easy recipe and it turned out perfect. Somewhere between a cake and bread, lots of orange flavor and not too sweet. This is a new fav. Grazie!
I love anything orange too! Definitely making this. Kind of reminds me of an olive oil cake I have made.
What a beautiful couple and love Eva teaching us her recipes. Like how Eva explains each step and the video close up of her cooking and your humor makes me want to keep watching all your videos. Please keep making more videos. I made the orange cake and so delicious. Will post on my Instagram tomorrow and tag you 🥰 Thank you
Thank you for the recipe guys! Just in time for the upcoming Lunar New Year with the oranges symbolising golden prosperity!
I made the first time almond cake last weekend and my reaction was the same as Eva's at the end 🥰 Just eat it without a fork, but now I want to try this orange cake 💕Luckily I have all the ingredients at home 😁
I love this cake, I started making it with olive oil last year, love it even more...love you guys
Yummy! Have to give it a go! Thank you!
Hi, that cakes looks so good and easy. So moist looking and I am going to try. Love you both 💓

Looks yumiiii can't wait to make it myself, ty!
Soo enjoyed this, as always your videos are so much fun love to you both
Thanks Harper & Eva
My mom always made orange cake but she just used the juice. I love this idea of blending the whole orange. Will try!😘
Harper the drizzle running down the side was just what made the cake perfection😊 Bravissimo!
This Siciliano-Americano can't wait to try this! Loving these Wednesday recipes! Grazie amici! 🇮🇹❤🇺🇸
Made your orange cake today. Sooooo goooood!!! My new FAVORITE! Absolutely addictive! Thank you for your hard work, excellent recipes and great videos!!
Thank you, I just made it and we love it. The recipe is a keeper.
Glad you liked it!
I made the cake the other week-end with my sister, it was fantastic! My sister already made it again and will 100% make it again soon.
Yummy..now I want a slice..the whole orange..can't wait to try😋🍊😊
I’ve got to make this. It looks delicious yumm
I’m making one right now with blood oranges! Thanks it smells amazing 🤗
Harper you're becoming an excellent Italian cook! 😍
Looks Awesome Harper! Love you two...you make the world a better place.
I'm definitely making this recipe!
Love watch these two! Looks yummy!
I am definitely making this cake!!
I, as an Italian, feel so ashamed that I didn't know the existence of this cake! It's a powered up version of a torta margherita! Eva can you make this with other citrus fruits?
Try with lemon!
@@PastaGrammar Pan di limone is one of my favorite cakes.
I made this cake. It's very good. I want to make it again with a lemon and a lime.
@@charleshash7381 Please write again here after you make it, and tell us how it was!
Another recipe I think I can make and I love oranges. I am psyched!!
I baked this orange cake. Delicious, thank you for sharing.
My maternal grandparents were both Sicilian and we never had this cake BUT when I first started working in a professional kitchen (washing dishes/pots&pans in the kitchen of the Buffalo Playboy club after graduating high school and wasn't sure what to do with my life). I moved up to working pantry and one of the first desserts I wanted to make was some kind of orange cake. The head chef helped me a bit and guided me to finishing, wasn't bad but not exactly what I was expecting. Oddly enough, I never tried another orange cake recipe, though I made 100's of different kinds of desserts in my cooking career. I'm definitely going to try this recipe, maybe I will finally have the orange cake I wanted so many years ago.
It looks amazing! 🍊🍊🍊
This cake is amazing ❤
Love you two & thanks for all of your yummy feasts
Sounds lovely. Will give it a try. 🍊
One of my favorite desserts to consummate.
Two of my favorite things, oranges and cake. I'm making this one!!
Looks amazing and delicious

OMG so simple and with the orange glaze!!!
My husband and I watch your videos and we love you guys! I am going to attempt one or two of your dishes tomorrow. Ciao!
That looks delicious😋😋😋
My mouth was watering through this whole video! A few months ago I made a version of this cake but I candied some orange slices and baked them on top. this is one of my favorite cakes of all time! So bright and refreshing! I will try this one as well.
That sounds amazing! Is making candied orange slices easy?
Ooooo, that looks sooo good!!!
I made this delicious dessert for my
Mom’s birthday. She loves orange flavor. I added some lemon juice to the glaze as well as orange juice, just for a more tangy flavor. Also added a little orange food coloring to the glaze. The cake looks beautiful. Thanks Pasta Grammar!
This looks fabulous
Made this tonight for the first time. Also my first attempt at a cake. Very easy to make and absolutely delicious. Was a nice dessert after some homemade ravioli stuffed with Italian sausage and mozzarella cheese.
I must must try. I love citrus desserts, even more if it's cake! Looks very delicious. Buon apetito.
I'm making this cake. I have delicious oranges from my husbands coworker. They are so sweet. I have six oranges left from 3 doz. Plus we had grapefruit too. I also have lemons from my neighbor next door. Love lemon. I found a great recipe for lemon cookies and a zucchini lemon loaf.
That orange cake is really good. I finally made it tonight. thanks. Eva and Hunter
Harper is already talking with his hand he's starting to be Italian. 😂
😂😂😂😂
Oh if I could just stop by for a piece of cake, what a wonderful, wonder to enjoy!
i couldn’t resist the cake and so i just made one. ten more minutes left 😍 it smells amazing

Making the cake right now 😁 , it looks delicious !! Thank you for showing it. . I didn't have almond flour so i made it out of Almonds I had at home . This cake is so so so good , MAMA MIA !!!
I only tried this a few months ago, it is the best dessert I've ever eaten.
OMG ... the recipe I've been waiting all my life for. I have a huge orange tree right outside my window (huge oranges and very tasty), I do make orange cakes, but this is what I've been wanting for ages. Grazie again guys 🤗🍷Will send you a pic of the tree via Twitter ... it's a beauty.
What a cute couple. I love them, already.
I’ve already gotten groceries for the week but at the end of THIS week, I’m definitely getting some almond flour so I can make this cake. It looks really good.
I want some. Looks yummmmmy.
Thank you very much for the recipe! It was delicious and I didn't even have almond flour (I used regular flour instead)!
