You are correct in that to style wide leg on petite women especially is to show the ankle and your footwear as it actually elongates the look especially if high waisted
It’s just about getting the proportions right

Bummer! I didn’t know they stopped making them but this video is pretty old by now.
There are a TON of the Patti pant on Poshmark. Also Madewell makes something very similar called the Emmet if you want something new! Hope this helps.

I live in a warm climate so snow and super cold hasn’t been a hurdle for me. But when it’s been cold I have done both! Use a fun sock to poke through or keep it monochrome with the pant, sock and shoe- like all black.
