    i find this video quite useless because they choose to have music instead of letting us hear the machine. if it is as loud as a vacuum cleaner then i dont want it...but maybe thats the reason they do it this way..i wish someone posted a video with the actual sound it makes while running so i can decide better.

    ok I received the runningbelt; here are my findings in a very brief summary from what i learned so far;
    cons:
    - packaging; it's packed straight up on a half size euro pallet and falls over easily. Which is exactly what happened to the courier who delivered it to me. It looks like the machine didn't suffer from this....
    - you need to oil the belt and it's unclear if this has been done already. The manual says to check with your finger and also feel the resistance.. this is very vague.. to me it seemed like it wasn't oiled so I applied the oil that comes with it, which is a painfull job to do, as you need to squeeze a tiny bottle empty with your hand under the belt on the underside of the machine. But you cant empty the flask (or fit your hand) when the belt is flat on the ground, so you would need to lift it with 1 hand and to be able to empty the included oil flask, hold it fairly strait up.. after i applied it and run it for the advised 5 minutes and do some running on it, I still didn't feel the oil so I don't know if it was pre applied or not.. Also it's advised to lubricate monthly, but there is no information on what type of oil to purchase.
    - the belt is rather noisy, which increases when speeding it up... on max speed 12km / h it's almost as loud as a vacuum machine(!)
    - the belt has a bobbing sound, like a heart beat, which after thourough investigation I found out it's because the belt has been sitting in 1 place in it's packaging for a certen time which deformed the belt, causing it to create a sound whenever it goes over the roller. This sound seems to be getting less when using it more... but at this point I can't say if it will completely go away.
    - while doing the investigation for the sound, I took off the plastic cover, and found the engine axis is offset towards the roller belt, which seems odd to me, and I'm not sure if this is supposed to be... In my previouse running belt this was not the case, also in any other machinery I never seen an engine axis not in line with whatever wheel it connects to.... That said it doesn't seem to affect the operation, and the engine seemed to be mounted well.. But I kinda want to check it again make sure this doesn't wear out the drive belt from the engine to the driving roller and doesn't cause more noise and friction then it should. Any comment from an expert on this would be appreciated, note the offset is only by a few degrees.
    - the running belt has a little hight difference on where it's welded, however this is no issue for me as it's only about 1 mm and running anywere outside the surface will be much less flat anyway. Even testing on it at first I was running on it on my socks and wasn't bothered by this.
    pro's:
    + seems to be a simple but sturdy machine.. build quality looks good, hopefully it will prove to be.
    + price, seems to be good, but really depends on the life span of it, which I cannot say yet.
    + speed is 12km/ h max which is also great for this price ( i paid 450 euro including shipping)
    + form factor and weight are good, easy move around and to store under a bed or tight to the wall
    + the dimms of the walking surface is great, compact enough for storing, but large enough for running at 12km/h and i'm 190 cm tall.
    + as i mentioned i tested it at first running on my socks and even this way i felt the dampening is really comfortable.. which I suppose is much better to keep the stress on you knees low.

      small update, the bobbing sound seems to be getting less still and I did find Tunturi spray lubricant online so spraying it would make the applying a lot easier.

I have to get back to you on the cons, to give you an explanation for you, but also others who read your review. Hi WooF, I promised to get back to you on the cons. Sorry it took so long. I checked with our service department and these are the responses to the cons:
      - Transport: Unfortunately, every dealer does has it's own transportation methods. It definitely not the best way to do it, and we have to discuss this with dealers.
      - Oil. So the manual states that you have to lubricate the treadmill, and like you state let it run for 5 minutes on a minimum speed of 5 km/h. But after that you must complete a running workout for 20 min with at least 5 km/h. This will spread the lubrication of the deck evenly. This is what the manual states:
      "If you do not feel lubrication or your fingertips are dusty or rough, apply lubricant (15-20 ml) in the middle of the running deck under the running belt and let the equipment operate at 5km/h for at least 5 minutes.
      • After lubrication, do not fold the equipment before having done a workout for 20 minutes with a speed of at least 5 km/h. The lubricant will be spread evenly over the running belt"
      A small flask will come with the treadmill, and after that is empty, you will need Tunturi T-lube. This will come with a straw of ca. 40 cm, which will make the lubrication in the future much easier.
      - Noise of the belt. This is normal in the beginning, because the belt is not flexible due to it being in a box for some time.
      After 2-3 hours of use this will be getting less and less until it will make almost no noise
      .
      - Bobbing sound. You mention in your update that it is getting less. The bobbing sound is normal because the running belt is glued together and it is making the noise like a heartbeat every time this passing the front and back roller. This is normal with a new running belt. Over some time of use this will also disappear.
      - Engine Axis offset. Can you please send a picture of this to service.international@tunturi.com? It is not normal that this is not in line. Could you also mention in that email where you bought the treadmill and address details of yourself, so we (or one of our partners) can offer you a new one if necessary.
      - Little height difference. Not much we can do about this this is just normal and every treadmill will have this in our opinion.
      I hope that helps give you (and others that were waiting for your review) some clearance on the cons. Again, thanks you for the honest review!
      Enjoy your weekend, maybe with a good running exercise:) ^Sander

      After 2 years, would you recommend it? Or to rather go for something more expensive, like T40/T50?

    Can the handrail be down when using the machine for walking? So that the device can be partly under a table (for office work).

    • @tunturi_fitness
      @tunturi_fitness  3 года назад +4

      Hi Nake89, thanks for reaching out! Yes it is possible to use this treadmill without the handrail up. So very suitable to use it under a standing desk. ^Sander

    I actually have 2 more cons on this machine now;
    - the remote contorol: after running for a short while, most of the time when I press speed down, it goes up instead, then after pressing down speed again it does goes down.
    - the safety key on the handle bar has a connection in the hinges where the bar is folds down, only after using it a few times this connection is now very sensitive: if I make it really (hand) tight, still often when I touch the bar the signal gets interrupted as if the key is pulled out, and the machine stops. I actually read some forums were people complain and have the same issue.

    • @tunturi_fitness
      @tunturi_fitness  3 года назад

      Hi WooF, thanks for your second round of feedback. 1. If I understand you correctly, you press the 'speed +' button on the top of the remote and it slows down, and vice versa? Would be able to send a short video to marketing@tunturi.com showing us that, so we can look at the problem. That would be really helpful!
      2. Do you only have this problem when the handlebar is folded down? When you walk/run with the handlebar up, you are not having any problems? ^Sander

    • @woof3065
      @woof3065 3 года назад

      @@tunturi_fitness Hi Sander; 1 next time I go running I make a video and send it over; 2 ofcourse in upward position: while running you should normally be able to hold on to the bar, but the friction caused from holding on to it while running, will cause sooner or later the connection in to the machine to be interrupted, so the machine responds as if the savety key was pulled. When I manually tighten the nut harder (by hand) at first I don't have the problem but after a few minutes of running and holdig the bar by occasion, it get's interrupted. Note i'm a light weight (65kg) and I treat it normally, so i'm just holding on to the bar but when it starts to become sensitive and shuts down I avoid touching the bar to keep the machine running. Note at all times the key is perfectly in place.

    does this have incline?

    • @tunturi_fitness
      @tunturi_fitness  3 года назад

      Hi, thanks for reaching out! This treadmill does not have incline. You would have to look at a Tunturi Cardio Fit T30 (manual incline) or Tunturi Cardio Fit T40(Electronic incline). You can use this T10 with the handlebar down, so it can be used behind a standing desk! If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask! ^Sander
