As someone who hasnt played tabletop or sovl before, these videos have been entertaining. Thank you also for explaining plays, helps understand context
Seeing this play through, I'm now curious how SOVL might try to handle a Brettonia style faction: Lots of different types of Cavalry (predominately Heavy Cav) along side weak Infantry. The Heroes could focus on healing spells (I can't remember, are there non-Reanimated healing spells?) or defensive buffs. And, of course, a Pegasus for a unique and cheap flying mount (as I'd say a Pegasus would be weaker than a Griffon). And since I don't think I've said it yet, count me as one of the people who like how thorough you are. Personally, I kind of find it fascinating to see other people's strategic thought processes. Honestly, I should try talking myself through my games - since, even though I love strategy games, I'm terrible at them. I usually get tunnel vision and don't realize it until it's too late. lol And, yeah, I started playing SOVL long before Fleeing was a mechanic as well. Having Units run to an edge is still an indication that I've messed up for me. It's instinct to not want to do it.
I believe the Deepwood Druid has the healing spell 'regrowth'. Initially it can only be used on 'Forest Spirit' units (Dryads and Treants) but once upgraded it can heal anything. Aside from that I don't think there is a generic healing spell. Admittedly, it may be very hard to balance that for campaign as healing is incredibly powerful. A cavalry faction would be fun though may be a tad repetitive given you can turn a number of factions into a 'cavalry army', Empire, Elves, Abyssal Legions, etc. I agree though I would like to see it, a full range from low tier Mounted Yeomen up to hyper strong grail knights would be fun. Being an aural learner means I learn far more effectively when listening. Amusingly, that seems to apply to myself as saying things aloud helps me think things through. If there was no recording I would still probably be saying everything to myself, albeit more mumbled.
Had Empire Captain run, Handguns and Cannon at start, got 2 more Handguns, one with Wizard Hero and a Giant, who was named Ogar the Ogryn, gave him stink and rock throw, he didn't kill too many but, he defended his little friends well, MVP was the Cannon. Starting Handguns managed to kill Triceratops, in melee, Monster fell before the Gunmen did, also second place in kill count.
The cannon top scoring isn't surprising, their sheer consistency is hard to beat. Ranged heavy armies tend to be strong given you take minimal casualties and so build huge stacks of gold, snowballing the campaign.
and the english language remains UNDEFEATED by you; these extra words i type are to demonstrate the correct grammatical usage of the semi-colon. it does not punctuate the way you think it punctuates ...
Get Bows, guns, Any Ranged weapons on Any and Every Unit.... I cannot stress quite how mistaken you are in the belief that they aren't worth it... More Dakka!!
Ranged units are super powerful, I try to keep ranged weapons off of units that would otherwise be pure melee. I logically understand the extra shots are good but I like the separation. It also means the campaigns have some variance as if I just keep buying the great ranged weapons each time the runs may become too similar.

i feel so bad for those spearmen
Their sacrifices will be remembered as I spend all the gold there blood has earned me.
Elandra and her emotional support dragon
The dragon makes us both very happy.

You should play Dark Elf, you are very calculating with the lives of Spearmen 😂 Good plays though
The next evil elf run is coming up very soon. There will be some very ethical gold generation methods employed, I'm sure.
“I need as much gold as possible”
Thirty seconds later:
“I don’t care if you kill a whole unit, all it does is collect gold for me”
If he's still breathing, he's collecting taxes.
@ very valid
Elves are undefeated, until they enter the cave;
They're too tall, keep hitting the stalactites.

@ There are ways to use semicolon in a way that demonstrate expressions, which I make when I am closing one eye, and let the other open.
@@tituskacperski2014 Perhaps an ellipsis would serve in a run on sentence of this nature?

i regret giving you a sub.
You can unsubscribe? The videos are pretty much the same since the channels birth, was it something in particular?
