  • In this video I show my extremely rare Plastwood Geomag 1450 Collectors Edition. This exact set is no longer for sale and this size of magnetic rod is now really hard to find. I believe they still are being sold as "Geomag pro": amzn.to/2tft8eG

This is so nostalgic, I used to have numerous sets of the Magnetix magnets and I spent 1000s of hours creating cool structures like these. I may actually go out of my way to buy them again.

They've mostly been pulled off the market because small kids would eat the balls (a.k.a. 'bucky balls') -- It's unfortunately really easy for two of those balls to pinch off and close your small intestines. Lots of kids in surgery rooms, then lawsuits, and no more small magnet toys.

I had something similar to this when I was younger. The set was called Magnetix.

The condition of your toy is very well kept and maintained. These magnet toys have made a recent comeback in last few years in different shapes and colours now. As they are largely mass produced, should be able to find cheaper versions in the market. Thanks for the video, you made it so interesting and now i'm going to hunt a set down for myself.

That is a really cool set! I just bought a couple smaller sets of those same type of magnet toys (different manufacturer) and have been building stands to display my twisty puzzles. The triangles they create are really good for cradling the cube-type twisty puzzles.

If some eats two small magnets at a slight interval, the magnets will connect in the digestive system with tissues between them. This will cause a blockage of blood flow causing decay of tissue with then will spread further creating immense pain, internal bleeding, and likely death if not treated quickly.

I love geomag! On the video side, I felt like you had the idea to show this off, but other than it didn't feel like you had a goal to reach, and therefore the ending was a little meh. It's hard to describe, and I don't know if anyone else felt the same, but I hope you get what I mean.
