with the perilla leaf debate i didn't care either but then i'm not korean so maybe it's a cultural thing. however someone on twitter used a different example for westerners and said imagine if your partner helped your friend by cutting their steak for them and the whole thread went off. so maybe it'll help if u imagine steak instead of perilla leaf.
i'm not korean either but literally any example i've seen of it i haven't understood why it'd be a problem. like if you do it for your friend you wouldn't think it's romantic, right? so why is it different just because it's your friend's partner? they're probably your friend too.
@@minjkth i think the reason it's a debate is not because of the perilla leaf or steak etc, it's because people have a specific friends and partners in mind. for instance, the 3 parties involved could be long time close friends with each other, in which case ppl agree it's ok. but what if your friend and partner have never met before. that would perhaps change the outcome of ur reaction.

About the perilla leaf ,
I am completely fine with it if my significant other helps peeling off the leaf for my trustworthy/close friend
But if it’s a friend of my significant other but they are not friends with me then I would be jealous
with the intention or action debate, for me action are more important for the simple reason that if you actually hurt someone deeply, if you have the intention or not, it doesn't change the result: you hurt someone. We are humans BUT at least in my own experieced people tends to do a lot of stuff that end up hurting someone without the intention and think that because they did not plan it is less terrible or they are less responsable for the result... people tends to wash their hands of the full responsability if thet didn't intent to do what they did
Imo I would make " jealous " jokes they would be more like a bit teasing but it would not be close to a big problem if they didn't do it flirtingly even it was a bit flirty my reaction would pretty much same

Yeah i used to have a ex that always wanted me to hang out with his friends all the time , And they even paid for my food most of the time , but it was weird I just wanted alone time and he wanted us to be grouped up with his friends...... But no I wouldn't invite my partner to hangout with my friends unless I'm introducing them for the first time, but after that we can both have our own friend time lol 😂 I'm not the jealous type but also like I need alone time as well so yeah cuz I have bad social anxiety

Working on notes for school I'll be more mad if someone spills coffee on them and they are unreadable than someone taking pictures of them. I actually don't care if they did that. I will just say "why didn't you ask? I would have let you anyways." I would even explain parts that he/she doesn't understand 😂

Ok... if 2 perilla leaves are stuck together why don’t they just take both?! Its not like they are gonna eat 1 perilla leaf for the whole meal right?? Or what if you use another clean chopsticks to help hold down the perilla leaf? Cos its kinda unhygienic to hold down uneaten food to be shared with your used chopsticks don’t you think?
in Korea its kinda rude to take both and you'd always just take one at a time, you would rarely have more than 1 in ur rice bowl at a time unless everyone gets their own portions, and that doesn't happen in restaurants
