Pastors notes John 10:15; John 15:13 What about the work of the cross? 1 Corinthians 1:17-21. I want to look at several qualities about the death of Christ: 1. It was a sacrificial death. a. God requires a sacrificial payment for our sin. b. It must involve the shedding of blood. We see this all through the Old Testament. Hebrews 9:22, 10:1-4, 10-14; John 1:29. 2. It was substitutionary death. Isaiah 53:5-6; 2 Corinthians 5:21. 3. It was a completely satisfactory death. John 19:28-30; Hebrews 9:12. 4. It was for everyone. 1 John 2:2; Luke 19:10. What does it all mean? 5. It is the ONLY way for man to be saved. 1 Corinthians 1:18; Acts 13:38-39. Application: 1. If you have never trusted Christ and Him alone as your Savior, do it now. 2. If you are a believer, are you rejoicing in the fact that you are eternally secure because of the perfect work of Christ on your behalf?
" YES, THIS "IS" GOD'S WAY TO BE SAVED, AMEN !! BUT, ACCORDING TO THE GOSPEL, SOME ARE "NOT" SAVED, SUCH AS JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES "FOR EXAMPLE" !!!!! RIGHT???
The work of Jesus at the cross is all that was needed to save every person forever just by faith believing that Jesus did it for them, that includes you, me and every individual who trusts in Jesus as their Saviour. Amazing that he, Jesus would give his life to save us and demands nothing in return. Oh what love, thank you dear Lord for accomplishing what we could never accomplish so we could be saved forever. God bless you brother and continue to tell the wondrous story of Jesus and his love.
