I left my Church that got all involved in Rick Warren and that purpose driven life business... I left about 15 years ago.
When I started speaking out about it, I started getting attacked by Family Members saying I'm old fashioned and I don't like change.
This is the best message that I have heard in a very long time. It addresses the problem perfectly and explains why I am under attack and have become an outcast! It has broken my heart into a million pieces. 😭😭😭😭

I really loved this sermon, and it gave me a lot to think about on how to better my life as a Christian. One thing that is amazing to me is the works-based people accusing the people who believe the true Gospel of Faith alone in Christ alone, of not caring about sin. I have seen countless sermons where they get up on stage with lights blaring all over the place and you can't even see where you are walking because it is so dark and loud. They claim we must be good to go to heaven, yet I never hear them preach against sin/worldliness like this. It seems to me that (most) true Gospel believing churches preach much harder against sin than the "churches" that preach you must do good works to go to Heaven.
I also liked the comment of "Pastors getting up who nobody knows what they believe," because it is exactly true. We have a set of churches here in North Texas/Oklahoma, done through satellite with one central campus, and I know Methodists, Church of Christ, Baptists, and a lot of other denominations that attend that church, and I have no idea how. Don't they all believe something different? Yes, but the pastor is so vague, he doesn't teach anything that they can't all agree on, so he can keep his crowd.

Fantastic sermon. Every word spoken in truth. I have passed your message on. I didn't find it offensive one bit, nor do you ever sound legalistic. I like your channel. God bless

44:18. "What if I'm saved but I ignore this, will I still go to heaven? You'll go to heaven but your life will be miserable".
What sort of bizarre philosophy is this? This is a first I've ever heard of anything remotely like this, going to heaven and being miserable.

Most people are taught that they need to do good works to go to heaven but this is not what the Bible teaches. It teaches that believing in the payment that Jesus Christ made on the cross will take away our sins allowing us to then go to heaven.
Once we are saved we should then do good works as a thank you to God. However, if we continue to sin we will still go to heaven but God will chasten us just like a father chastens his children when they do not behave. This is not out of cruelty to us but rather that God loves us and doesn't want us to have a wrecked life.
      Ephesians 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
What Pastor is saying here is that if you are a believer, no matter what you do you are on your way to heaven. But as a believer if you go against God while you are still on earther he's going to chasten you to try and get you to behave. Also doing sinful stuff has natural negative consequence. This can lead to you having a miserable time on earth if your not following God's directions.
Hebrews 12:6 "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth."
Deuteronomy 8:5 "Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee."
      Galatians 6
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Everyone is a creation of God, but only those who Believe are a child of God. God chastens his children because he wants them to grow in the Lord.

If you are born again and resisting the Holy Spirit, you will be miserable because it's an ongoing battle between the flesh and the Holy Spirit. He will definitely cause you to be uncomfortable with your sin.

Can anyone help me in the comments? I’m a 19 year old in college and have not been a believer or put myself towards the lord and I’m struggling to find him. I have never really been super motivated to get into religion. How can I find god ?

You need a payment for your sins. If you try to make the payment yourself you will end up in hell. You need to accept the payment Jesus Christ made on your behalf and God will give you eternal life in heaven. They way you accept that is by believing that Jesus Christ made the payment for you. Once you do this you become a child of God and can then experience his blessings.
