I'm in as well. Growing up in the 80's in northern California in a commercial fishing family I saw the same thing happen then. Most local seafood was kept local and direct to consumer. Then over night it changed. Nobody knew where there fish was going or coming from. As operating costs increased it killed most of the fleet in a short time, including my families boat as well. What you are doing needs to be the norm and get people back to supporting families like yours. Thank you for what you do.
Thank you as well! It's sad to think of the fishing businesses and history that has been lost. Small boat fishing operations employ alot of folks and most if not all of that money goes right back into local economies.
Been watching for a while. Don't care for fish but will be supporting you in hopes of a crab box 😂

I’m still not quite sure how it would all work for me. If you can explain it I would be grateful I’m interested in purchasing seafood, and how would that play into my helping with your kickstart?
Sure. So we have sold our seafood direct to market since 2016. How it currently works, is we catch the fish, bring it to an inspected facility where it is filleted, packed and frozen. We then get our product back (it is not mixed with other fishermen's fish) and then pack it in insulated boxes and ship it overnight to anywhere in the US.
They do a great job, but they are the only facility in town that does this and are getting very overloaded and as a result unreliable.
By setting up our vessel to process and freeze onboard, we no longer have to rely on their service.
We catch, process, freeze all onboard the Emmerald Isle. We get back to town when we are ready to fill orders and we pack and ship your seafood to you door.

Hi Zerg. Sorry about that. It was hard to keep up with all the comments. We plan to keep the Fish Tale and keep working her in our cod and halibut fisheries.

Do you have to be on Facebook i don't have a Facebook book account and do you still take PayPal as i don't have a credit card right now someone got into my account and we are still sorting things out
Hi Lori. Darn, sorry to hear that. So the funds are collected by Kickstarter, and credit cards won't be processed until the campaign ends. I don't see paypal as a funding source, but we will let this campaign run for 3-4 weeks, so there is plenty of time. You can create an account at kickstarter if you wish and then you can see updates on the progress. I also have your email and can keep you posted if you like.
I hate it when good people are not treated as well as the crooked or illeagle people that work hard to make a living but scum just stick their hands out and bam the democrats give them anything and every thing they want . I wish I had monies to help y'all but my body screwed that up my wife had the doctors operate on me to keep me around which put me out of work not worth a dime I'm a waste of air. I do wish you guys the best of luck see you on the next video sorry about the rant bye bye.
