Up until a few years ago I didn't know about Killer Instinct. The fighting game I grew up on was called Eternal Champions for the Sega Genesis. Through looking for some covers for Eternal Champions I had found the Killer Instinct music and just fell in love with it. This video popped up in my feed a couple days ago and I've been stuck listening to it because every time I do I'm just taken back to that moment I held onto that Sega Genesis controller. Still never played Killer Instinct and definitely regretting it, but I still get that same feeling.
Well, I'd only heard the first measures and already knew I'd love it! Impressive, epic, deep and melodic. I love that kind of passion expressed through guitar playing! Well done!

This is a great arrangement. I always feel dragged back into the early 90s era of childrens' television with this theme. It has an iconic character not unlike the Power Rangers theme or such... in fact, I sometimes wonder what a live-action show/movie in that cheesy action era for Killer Instinct would have been like, even though the very title of the series is not age-appropriate. It's a very particular feel, but, to sum up, I love the theme and I love this version as well. Great solos and original embellishments.
If you get the chance, you should check out Little V Mills' version of this. It's comparable but I think may be more bass & kick drum heavy. Nice find 👌🏾
