Top 25 birds: Raptors!

Raptors are well known as the lords of the skies and are dramatic hunters. Their name is derived from the Latin word raptare, which means to seize. Eagles, hawks, buzzards, harriers, kites, falcons, vultures and the Secretarybird are found in this group. The Strigiformes - the night hunters, which includes some owls - are also classified as raptors.
