This is what's called TOUGH LOVE ... it breaks a masters heart to train them but it so liberating for them to be outside and safe

Now that he is older, how well has the invisible fence held up to his nature?

Extremely well. We even moved and had to show the new boundries again, no problem at all.

I get so sad teaching them the boundary, but I value their lives and am trying to protect them. Did your dog have any break throughs and stay out of the boundary once the shock stopped? I think when mine are excited and wanna bolt after something, they just charge through without the "shock" value fazing them. They've done it twice and I'm struggling with what to do. More training? What do you think? Thank you! Beautiful doggies! 😍

Hate to give you bad news but I know once a dog charges through the boundary I would never trust them again.

How long did it take to be comfortable with him off leash

about one week then train with treats over the boundaries if they don’t go over there for anything then you can also start to train off leash
