The tongue weight on that car is maxed out at about 100-150 lbs. You have about 2-3 times the allowable weight... That is why it has bent and doesn't look safe.
Intesting!!! I put a hitch like this on every car I ever owned. Used it to pull kayaks, jetski and haul firewood. Definitely check your unibody. The bend in your hitch did not come from the hitch itself most likely at where it attaches to your frame. I used those stabilizers at first. I have my own dilemma. I have have a Prius I don’t trust so I wanted to see if anyone put a rack for enduro or motorcycle on a car. Great Job!! 🎉
I just got this set up on my Tesla model 3. I cut the rack shorter so there’s less leverage working against the receiver. I also run ratchet straps across the top of my trunk to the rack for extra support. I’m still paranoid of the thing snapping. lol But it is reassuring to see other people are having success with it too.
Bro! I think the bend is in the adapter piece right when it come out of the car receiver. Just pull the adapter out of the receiver to see the bend. Just what it looks like to me. Just don't want you to buy the wrong piece.
I went to Uhaul to get a hitch put on my 2019 Kia Forte and the guys there were very honest and told me it would be a bad idea to get a hitch put on and get the dirt bike rack from harbor freight like i intended on doing because they said it would scrape the ground alot and potentially ruin my car. So i didn’t do it. i have a little 125 SSR i wanted to tow around so idk seeing this it seems like it would work perfectly fine with minor issues!
Yo man I been watching you for a while now and ever since I saw your DRZ 400 supermoto I fell in love today I got a early birthday present. Such a nice bike!!!
That 1in to 2in adapter adds weight. Also this motor cycle carrier adds 30 to 40 lbs and plus weight of bike. So thats alot of down load force on the hitch and its rated for a class 2 only.setup. so what is your thoughts of the total weight plus suppose to be class two ?
@@caseylane6030those ratings, like every other rating in the engineering world, is extremely lower than the actual number where things might go bad just to deter people from reaching that actual number, its all about companies being safe from potential lawsuits.

I tow a 4x6 trailer with my bikes and 4 wheeler with my 09 honda civic 4 door everywhere to different Atv park and get some many looks on the highway but you have a good setup also 💪🏾
How is the setup on the surron? I'm planning to do the exact same thing with my honda civic. My hitch+car setup can handle 200lbs tongue weight Do you think a surron could work If I take out the battery? Thanks!!
lol I bro i saw this and towed my drz all around on the back of my wifes VW Tiguan for years. It was a little sketch hauling that pig but it worked out.
Ay bro I’m getting a bike that weighs 265lbs and I have a 2017 Honda Accord and the issue I’m seeing with these accord trailer hitch the tongue say 200lbs. I’m scared it want hold up. How long do you ride with your heavy bikes ?
Yeah. That is sketch AF. Glad it's worked out for you bro. When you get a new carrier swap out the adapter for a new one as well. Who knows what kind of stresses it's gone through over the past 5 years?
The reason it's a 1.25 in. Is because that hitch is only rated for 200 lb tongue weight with 2000 lb tow capacity. You are over tongue weight. I wouldn't chance it with a 10,000 bike.
Holy crap that looks unsafe. You want it as vlose to the car as possible to reduce the leverage. Make sure your hitch is rated with the necessary tounge weight. increase the distance between anker points for the straps to make it more stable
cant. i scrape on every driveway and speed bump with my 1 1/4th. 2" is designed for vehicles with higher ground clearance, and the beams that are welded to the frame, need to be 2" too. and if he cut off the receiver and welded a 2" receiver, that creates a fracture point over time, and the welds will fail. now you get to pick up your bike shattered into a million pieces on the highway
idk how much it is if you already have the parts, but i know uhaul will install it with parts included for $400. can try asking around mechanic shops to see if they can do it for cheaper
bruh youtube demonetize ur shet? i'd imagine they do with stunt riding. a youtuber with 1M subs should be able to get a beater truck quite easily. plus you get to haul heavy things heavier than 1000 pounds
I’m impressed it hasn’t snapped off yet with that load
You should wrap straps around the carrier in front and back into your trunk to help take some of the weight off the carrier
The tongue weight on that car is maxed out at about 100-150 lbs. You have about 2-3 times the allowable weight... That is why it has bent and doesn't look safe.
Yeah but he been driving on it for 5 years so it’s pretty safe lol

Make sure you’re only hauling Vargs, no good machine should have to fall victim to the big fire when it happens 😆
I like the idea of towing your bike with your car instead of having to ask or borrow a truck
Sometimes you don’t know anyone with a truck
You are the new zack goes until he gets back zack goes a living legend
I'd get trailer lights and stick them to back of bike rack with strong magnet and a hook so they can't fall off but be removable easily.
Thank you moto bro!! I'm about to get one for my 2019 accord and can't wait
Got one for my 2018 accord sport, I carry a grom puts a little weight to the car but I like using it

I believe that’s a class 1. Typically rated for no more than 200lbs tongue weight. This dude is living on the fringe.
