- So when Gamesworks in Las Vegas closed, this new place called Velocity Esports opened up. If the arcade machines look familiar, well, yes they do! It's pretty much everything from Gameworks Las Vegas. I wouldn't be surprised in the techs were the same because similiar certain games are still not fixed.

An amusement arcade (often referred to as "video arcade" or simply "arcade") is a venue where people play arcade games such as video games, pinball machines, electro-mechanical games, redemption games, merchandisers (such as claw cranes), or coin-operated billiards or air hockey tables. In some countries, some types of arcades are also legally permitted to provide gambling machines such as slot machines or pachinko machines. Games are usually housed in cabinets. The term used for ancestors of these venues in the beginning of the 20th century was penny arcades.Video games were introduced in amusement arcades in the late 1970s and were most popular during the golden age of arcade video games, the early 1980s. Arcades became popular with children and particularly adolescents, which led parents to be concerned that video game playing might cause them to skip school.

I’m glad they did this I was sad when gameowrks closed I loved gameworks
I’m thinking this might be a new chain of arcades taking over old Gameworks locations because there’s another Velocity esports in Newport Kentucky where the old Gameworks used to be.

1:10 they got XX and a Cabinet of DDR that says SuperNOVA 2
Hey there, this may sound like a bit of a dumb question but at Velocity, do you have to pay for a card in order to play the game & if so, how much is it? I asked since Gameworks (the old establishment) used to have a card that made you play games, from what I remember.
That arcade needs to have Initial D
2:44 They have tekken 5? No way! Tekken games rarely appear in arcades!
This place IS Gameworks. Velocity esports company just bought out gameworks buildings and games. Nothing new, just new ownership.
Yeah nothing new on the maintenance either 😆☠️
