Thanks for this, good video. The interior cruise sound is what i was looking for most. I hope to install these in 3inch on my 78 400 pontiac with cutouts and boom tubes for when i want to get a ticket.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Better than expected. I heard they give better torque than complete straight thru design. I'm excited to switch over to mandrel 3" from 2.5" and was only considering it, because I wanna decat and ( edit: *don't* ) wanna be bangin too loud. So it's either these with no resonator, or the race bullets with resonator. Glad you had a little patience with the video, but you could've driven that around for a bit more 🤘🏼
Great video! Thank you! I have a V8 Vega with glass packs on it right now, and I'm trying to find something that still flows well, but doesn't make it such a cop magnet. I think these might just do the trick.
Running the biggest 3” super turbos they make on my ‘68 Charger; with an H-pipe and turn-downs they quiet down the 572 Hemi enough that when you really open it up the loudest noise comes from the air getting sucked into the motor not the exhaust. Very nice TA; they get everything right on the ‘78s. The ‘70-‘71 Super Duty cars aren’t bad either.
I've heard these are actually a clone of the old mopar hemi mufflers, every time I hear a chrysler in a movie that's what it sounds like. I'm definitely getting some for my 72 newport, I swear this is the best demo of these on youtube. Nice car, too.
Hey man thanks for the video really nice mufflers Sound great. I'm building a 79 Trans Am and I've been looking for the perfect sound for and this sounds like what I want I was torn between the super turbos and the ultraflo but I wish someone had a video that was as good as yours that gives me the sound of the ultra flows even the Dynomax website has just horrible sound quality so you really don't know what you're getting
I have replaced Flows for these before. So much better and especially on the the SN95 Mustangs. But I have used them on V6's even Fat Boy (Dynomax on a 64 VW). These sound a lot better to me than the tinny sound like he mentions. I am about to change my El Camino from 2" Exhaust with Flows to 2.5" With the Dynomax's. Even in a Truck and behind the cab by 3 ft Flows still drone a lot. Flowmaster are fun for short trips but do wear you out on longer runs. He is spot on with his review!
You are 100% right about the F-F-F-F-F sound of Flowmasters. I have this very issue on my 81 Trans Am (engine swapped from 301 to Olds 307 with headers and 3.23 rear end) and though I like the sound of the exhaust I hate the way it sounds like it has a leak. It's driving me crazy. I'm planning on changing mufflers soon. Might go with the Magnaflow. Want a deep growl. Love your car. All the best
ya same here the flowmaster never liked.only other muff iv found that sounds good is a corla.but your ta is really nice.i have a 1972 TA recked it.wish i had it back love the TA
Sounds great!! I have Hooker headers in my car but I want to change to these ram Air exhaust manifolds. Can get new exhaust I'm still debating what mufflers I want to get. The dynomax sounds great!! I'm still thinking about borla but I'm not sure yet.
Sounds awesome man! I hope they don't salt the roads where you live like they do here in NY. My '80 Z28 has its share of rot from previous owners driving it in the winter
awtc72 no sorry I actually upgraded to 3in and I'm running Cherry Bomb Vortex Mufflers currently I have a video or two showing them I need to get a good drive by video though
Sounds awesome! I've been looking at these mufflers lately to replace my 30 year old Flowmasters on my big block 396. Can you please tell me the length of the muffler case that you're using. It's probably either a 16" or a 20". And what mufflers did you have before you went with the Dynomax. I'm dealing with 74 decibles in the cab of my el camino and I need to drop that by 4 or 5 decibles.
To tell you the truth I switched over to cherry bomb vortex mufflers soon after and went up to 3in but these are the shorter case dynomax mufflers 2.5 inlet outlet
brianm195 the car is fairly stock the motors got basic hot rod stuff done to it cam headers intake Etc to be honest these are the mufflers and exhaust I got on the car they were a bit mellow for me especially at idle very quiet inside the car and super mellow cruising which is good if that's what you're after but since then looking another video I put 3 in with an H pipe Cherry Bomb Vortex mufflers with pipes 3-inch Splitters in the rear and I'm very happy with the results and idles like a nasty chambered Muffler at Cruz you barely even hear it inside the car but you definitely hear it outside and when you get on it and has a very deep Roar biggest thing I was going for cuz this is one of the milder things I've been built so far I was just looking for a good Cruiser something I can hop in and drive cross-country and burn some tires one of the biggest reasons I went with the Cherry Bomb vortex is they actually produce power because they scavenge and there's absolutely 100% no drone
these Dynamax that were on the car are pretty much the best possible flowing turbo muffler you can get but just the turbo muffler design has some restriction to it changing to the new exhaust it was a world of difference
They sound great. What made you change them? You wanted louder? I’m looking to quiet down my c10 truck. Currently has long tubes with flowmaster dumped and it’s too loud for me
@@cnkilts then you definitely know what I mean! Plus they kick up too much dust and I’m over it. Haven’t had a chance to take my c10 to the muffler shops for some cheap mufflers that will fit for my long tubes. Having issues with my fuel system but it comes with the nature having old cars. @@cnkilts lol the drive thru experience is soo true!! Same! I drove my c10 for a few months and now it’s on non op as I do my changes and updates but I’m taking my time. David K I currently actually change these Mufflers as they were getting fairly old along with the rest of the exhaust system to a set of 3 in Cherry Bomb Vortex mufflers I did get a little bit of drone going down the highway with those older mufflers and the rest of the exhaust was falling apart so
Installed the Dynomax SUPER Turbo last week on my Caprice Station / 307 Olds. Sounds really GREAT. Mellow and no drone.
I love this muffler...
Well you convinced me. Getting a set of these for my 72 Monte Carlo.
Appreciate the video, super helpful. Probably the best exhaust demo I've found on RUclips. Thank you
Awesome car man. Huge fan of these dynomax mufflers. Sounds great.
miketucky350 thanks
They say those are supposed to sound like Cowboys truck. Sonic turbos were by far the best sounding turbo mufflers.
Thanks! Love the T/A - one of my favorite years. I was looking to quiet up my 67 Firebird so my wife will actually ride with me. This input helped!
Thank you, I've been having a hard time finding what these sound like. I need an exhaust on my 87 IROC-Z but wanted a nice sound but not deafening.

Good demo on the Super Turbos & what a better car to do that in💖
Hey thanks for your help! Great video!
I put these on my 69 charger and love the sound!
I agree about the tinniness of the flowmasters. That is what I'm can't stand about them.

a snake design/ Hemi style.

Mr357 M. just had the mufflers
Shaken Phoenix thank you. Stay safe.
Sounds sweet.
How do you think having only one exhaust affect the sound? This is going in a van.
Just be a bit mellower

Does anyone know the difference between the cherry bomb turbo muffler and the dynomax super turbo?
Do these mufflers drone at highway speed?
Dynomax flows more power as well

MrSixt9er yup headers
What's the width of the rear wheels? 15x8? Slots are great!
15 9

How long is the body of the mufflers, 14 or 20 Inch?
14ish
Anything but Flowmasters
What part of Washington are you in?
Enumclaw
What headers are you using here?
Sapphire The Husky hooker super comp
How long do they last
Lonnie Pawl no idea
I'd assume at least five years or so I actually replace these with cherry bomb Vortex Mufflers that I'm much happier for
Shaken Phoenix I got a drone master and it’s getting annoying at highway speeds this is what I want I think
i sure hope you dont drive that car in snow, not many left that arent fucked completely
Headers or manifold? Cats?
Headers no cats
Not smooth enough for me they sound like glasspacks they pop. No Muffler has a smoothness of the old Sonic Turbo that's no longer in business
