    I’m a IIIB and this was my problem in high school. Took me till I got to college where I fixed stuff and I made a conscious effort to keep my bottom lip in contact with the mouthpiece

    Thank you man i am a grade 3 ready to do my practical exams and i have this same problem and when it does slip (because i have a bigger bottom lip than top lip) off when i play a note loud it does a fart sound (literally) but this helped thank you. Xx

    I have the exact same problem. I still don’t get the way you have your tongue set so it does not ruin your aperture and go over the bottom teeth. Respond fast it would mean a lot your the most close player that has my issues. I have been having issues for 3 years as a high school trumpet lead.
