Over a year later, looking back on the awesome content that was made throughout the active lifetime of Islands. I wish we could go back to these days, where things began much simpler than now. Not sure if it's my nearly 4 years of playing Islands catching back up, or if it's just pure nostalgia looking back on the old and then realizing where we ended up. Either way, the game has grown a ton since, and even still, the content has aged well and is still informative to this very day. DV, if you ever make more videos on this game, I just want to say thank you in advance.
I plan on it, I've been busy making my own skyblock game so I can recreate the moments I had with Islands but with full control of the vision of the game. We're cooking.
Even though the Bane is better with damage, I think the Serpent Hook is one of the only weapons to get a second attack ability, which is cool and it has a nice effect on it too, I don't mind either weapon.
At the start of the update, you were able to stack the hook damage to pretty much insta kill mobs. (If you remember how to do the fast mining glitch, you were able to do the same with the hook.) It was patched though.
What we need is enchants, maybe obsidian with gilded steel rods to make obsidian casing, and then a elemental shard that you get randomly from bosses. Combine them to make a elemental orb. It work look like the enchant table in bedwars
Dv, after testing I found out that knockback is much higher for people in shift lock mode, if you use 1st person mode, you won't get flung off the map.
Little heads up for some people with the hook, I don't know if this only works for mobile but you can still attack while you're spinning, it doesn't stop you from using it regularly so you can add extra damage and do knockback, and it is especially op against slimes, that paired with starfruit cake makes it a lot better for grinding slime king tokens, of course you will move a little slow since it doesn't allow you to run while spinning but that should be an easy fix with food like chilli peppers, potato and duck egg scramble, and the sweet rice dessert. It also does aoe or something and can strike multiple enemies. Long story short, serpent's hook is cool
Hey DV, i got serpents hook almost since it got released and its a quite of anti-knockback weapon. It seems like if you do the spin attack and serpent does knockback attack then it doesnt knockback you as much as it normally would
the hook is really good if ur on mobile since u can hold the button and tap and u can get both the reg and special move so u can do lots of damage if u add them up prob the best melee wepon in the game for damage base

DV! I have a new kit idea for bedwars! Its called Digger kit! Digger kit: You can swim under the floor! You can use your Big hammer to make a big wave or earthquake wave (Only at one direction so chill, if you want all around direction on your player then ok) (It will cost robux too.)

They need to balance the game for solo vs multiple players. I played Islands almost every day for 2 years, now I'm burnt-out as a player and hate the grind now. I'd rather spend my time on a game that respects the players time and this one just doesn't.
When the uptd was out the hook could dupe the diamonds bec when u used the spin attack on kor death animation I would think u killed it again and again and again its fixed now

the easiest way to get tokens is to go to a public server and kill the boss others spawn and it drops like 100 tokens and then go to a private server and spawn it for yourself

bruh seeing ur ruby sword make me remember mine that i lost few hour after i created it i think void got mad at me for making it a shortcut so it deleted my ruby sword and my beloved duck :(
I summoned the boss and I went AFK on those spiky bone stuff and it knocked me on one of those random floating island and the thing is, I have to reset.

I really love the hook witht the looks and the unique ability. I do hope that they change up the meta some more so other weapons get to be usefull.

I feel like the spin should be charged after a certain amount of hits then it’s more powerful but after you use it you have to recharge it again

The Serpent's Bane is a bit lengthier than any other weapons.

In mobile, you can hold down the hook spin button and swing your sword normally and the damage would stack (basically dealing 100+ dmg/s)
Dv I’m not sure if you know, but a lot of people want to know if this event is limited or like the underworld update where it stays.
the easiest way to get tokens is to go to a public server and kill the boss others spawn and it drops like 100 tokens and then go to a private server and spawn it for yourself
