I just returned from Iceland. Everything was impressive. But I must say Black Sand Beach was at the top of the list of places we visited. Haunting, serene, almost otherworldly. The sand looks like little diamonds. Its a sight to be seen just before you hit the town of Vik.
I also just returned from Iceland, and completely agree, you described it so well. It has such a unique atmosphere that I'd never experienced before.
ABSOLUTELY AGREE - PERFECTION.. ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT - THE GLOW OFF TGE WATER AND SAND
What a view ! i need to go there before i die , having a walk there while listening to interstellar cover is a dream for me !

Several people have died on that beach, as it can be very dangerous, so be careful if you do.

@@vortex_711 They get dragged out to the ocean via strong sneaky waves that appear without any notice. Then they drown. People almost always underestimate the danger.
A large part of the beauty of this place comes from the light. It's so far north that the light slants in at a low angle and always looks moody and strange. That along with the terrifying reputation of this beach as a place where the unsuspecting have been swept out by sneaker waves and drowned, all make this an eerie place

@@handlin7333 I don’t believe they’re racist but it’s different because there are no black people in Iceland only a few, it’s the same thing as you going to an African Country being white you’ll probably receive some different looks

The sand on beaces in some parts of Indonesia are also black. One i've been to was in Yogyakarta. The weather was so cloudy, it was about to storm. The waves were pulling my feet into the sea. It was scary, but felt so amazing at the same time.
At 1:30 - I immediately recognized the entrance to the GOT Dragonstone cave. I looked it up to verify, because I did not know where the cave was filmed. The white surf and black sand - wow!

you can't stay long as the waves are too unpredictable. People die here all the time because they ignore the warning signs. Once they drag you out to see you are a goner

This is beautiful, but be careful anyone who visits it since there’s been each year people who have been swept out to sea that turn your back on the ocean or got too close to the ocean when a sneaker wave came, and it has a strong current!!! I read this in a book by a local
