I never had the album and bought it in the last few weeks and I really do enjoy it. It's pretty great and there are preludes in parts of the Tori we came to know on Little Earthquakes. She puts it so eloquently here.
I love the album though. It's cool when someone who doesn't traditionally fit a style does it anyway because years later you have a very original project that is a breath of fresh air! Anyway first comment LFG fire on the side still waiting to be heard IMO
Tori’s talent is clearly audible on this album, even if the image and style are imposed on her. Today you listen and wonder why it didn’t take off, because there are real hits there. Poor promotion and the band's breakup contributed to poor record sales, but perhaps that was for the best.
