Hello everyone! Almost 2 years later we have done quite a few upgrades and filmed a new van tour! You can watch it here ruclips.net/video/-iLLEf7boe8/видео.html
This is one of the most simple yet sophisticated builds ive seen so far. The Fiat Doblo isn't considered a huge van but ive seen people with bigger vans that less utilize the entire size of the van to fit stuff in. The fact you can have both a giant stove, enough space on the table to cut veggies and stuff and an electric sink is remarkable for such considerely small van. Well done!
Looking good! I don't have any plans to live in my Doblo full time but have always planned to convert it just for festivals or overnight stays at the beach. At the moment I just have a crash mat on the floor and will stick with that as most of the time it's just for my dog to lie on in the back and, as I have no plans to live in it full time, I can forgo the under bed storage. As a solo traveller I plan to sew a storage bag with compartments shaped to fit the passenger side foot well for clothes storage. I'll put my cupboards where you have them but will do them more like an ottoman style with lift up lids with cutouts to drop the dog's bowls and a washing up bowl. For anyone thinking of getting a Doblo, mine was previously one of the wheelchair accessible ones so I have extra height and the extra mini windows in the top so you still have light even if you cover up the side windows. It's worth bearing in mind though that I can currently fit it under 2.1m height barriers, putting solar panels on top may make it just too high so worth measuring if you plan to do that.
I think your design is the perfect layout for these small vans. I've got a Berlingo car with a no build setup and now prefer going smaller after having a larger campervan.
Hey. I have a Fiat Doblo and was going to convert it. With the back lift up hatch is ideal for having a shower. Shower curtains and magnetic hooks. But our car is old and has a lot of mechanical issues so we didn't convert it. We purchased our old Herb Motorhome for £5k instead. Great van tour and have plenty of Adventures. Cheers from old George and Jane. 🤠🤠🇬🇧👫
Nice setup. Impressive that you manage to do it with 2 people while seemingly not cracking up. I think a roof vent with a fan and an air intake hole somewhere opposite would make a massive difference in comfort.
We do have a roof vent with a fan, and the front windows with deflectors mean we can have the windows cracked without rain coming in 👍🏼 we have been making changes to the van and it will be even better 😃
@@TeamAteem just saw your last video. Pretty cool. I'm thinking about getting a doblo too. Main reason I'm considering something so small is it's fits in underground parkings even with most roof vents. I quite like the setup on the youtube video 'static campervan' too, having open storage like he has without doors to open etc seems like a handy strategy in such a small space.
I'm checking vantours a long time now to see ideas and compare them with our micro camper. Awesome tour and great ideas you have in your van!👌 My only consideration is that we carry with us our middle size dog. And this changes everything. From the bed size to the total layout.
Nice one. Have done a very basic conversion so far on my old Doblo for couple of trips last year. Working on improvements for next season. Wife wasn’t to happy at the idea but now shes always asking when or where we can go next ! Happy travels to you and everyone inspired by this vid.
@@TeamAteem how do you find the Fiat doblo? I’ve read some reviews really ragging on its reliability (one said it stands for Fix It Again Tomorrow) and a couple videos showed interior parts falling apart, but if this is true I suppose parts are very cheap unless it’s catastrophic. Have you had any failures and problems? PS once again, conversion really is ace. How did you make those lift-up panels for the storage? Will you be installing a heater and fridge?
I had to do quite a bit of mechanical work to it before the conversion, mostly wear/tear maintenance. Since then we had a small issue with the crank pulley and auxiliary belt tensioner which I managed to fix. The fold up floor is quite simple, just hinged on some wooden supports that sit in the rear foot wells. As for a fridge we really don't see much benefit fitting one and we will use hot water bottles & electric blanket if the nights get cold. We aren't planning on staying in the UK for winter so we should get away without having a diesel heater.
@@TeamAteem one more question - how do you find the headroom in the back? I’m 6’2”, reckon I’d have enough clearance to sit up straight if I built my bed sofa at the same height as yours?
Very good your project! We also made a doblohome but every day we research, we see different projects that give us lots of ideas to modify and improve ours. Congratulations!
Awesome ideas looks like you have thought of everything to go in your mini van . I’ve just bought the maxi van doblo so hopefully mine with turn out as good
got same vehicle, same year, turned it into a Tramper van, but got the wheelchair version, same kind of layout, but not as good as yours, I am a bodge up type off person, my cooker is a Turm sports stove, :), me shower , I use a tanning tent, pop up, and a pump 8lt sprayer, heating , I use a 5kw diesel heater, now, the one thing I did have a problem with is the rear door, when up, in summer time, its up, now and again, it rains, but some times I leave the door up, quick shower, where the number plate is, water collects there, and got into the electrics, had to pull back off to dry it all out, :), now when it rains, I pull it down 45 degrees, very good job on your conversion
Well thought out camper, I like it a lot, normally not a big fan of doblo but you have managed to make doblo look great as well, well done guys, you have given me inspiration, hopefully soon I can build camper like yours. Happy travels and looking forward to your future videos.
I've just come across your channel on the RUclips feed, and I have to say that I'm hooked, loving your videos and awesome work on the van looks brilliant, subscribed and notification bell on 👍👍 look forward too future videos 😌
Absolutely love your chanel! Just wondering if you could do a video on insuranceee! Been searching RUclips and the wide Web and there's not much info out there on how to insure self built stealth van conversations, it could help a lot of people
Thank you. Possibly, you need to tell your insurer about any modifications to the vehicle and they will run through it with you. I believe alot of people use Adrian Flux as they specialise in modified stuff
Really enjoyed with watching the videos. Like to see a Doblo' micro camper. I also have a 2007 Doblo' Dynamic. It's a 1.4 8v petrol. When driving my Dobby is always brings me smiles in my face. Driving it on a long distance it's comfortable than shorter city rides coz it's Manual.😉 Like to see more travel videos with the Dobby. Hope you both are safe. ~from Sri Lanka🇱🇰

van conversion is a 10! but add cuteness of this couple AND the van, it's now on a Richter scale of 20!
Enişteler buna bayılacak. Şaka maka 10 numara olmuş insanın Doblo alası geliyor
Loving that rear sticker, that's worth subscribing to the channel alone
❤ love it all 😊
Great job on the van !
Remember folks " dont come a knocking if the van is rockin!"
2 people, wow, mad tight, you can never be mad at each other 😁
When you said you share the pants and socks you did mean the draw right 🤣🤣 great layout and use of space
Yes the draw! Didn't notice that post production hahaha
@@TeamAteem love the van and the vlogs though.

‘We’ve got limited space for everything, what’s our priorities?’ “Gotta have a subwoofer!” 🤩 awesome job guys! 💪🏻
Haha, for me it's a must have, love driving with music 🎵
Clever use of space guys! Like that cheeky repurposing of a race battery!

The shower is actually so smart😂👍
Super! Guys, you amazing! Good luck!
Like the shower idea.
Loved everything! I had a VW Bus/kombi camper, but now want a more modern vehicle and the kangoo/Doblo looks like perfect
Хороший Добло на выходных потусить просто огонь, на зад багажник для байков и просто наслаждаться природой где угодно!
Very nice video and impressive project, congrats and greetings from Poland ;)
Dzięki!
I'm a new follower of your channel.
Greetings from Sweden
the take away from your van is the main isolation switch is readily accessible and not near the battery. fantastic😀

Thank you! Ours is the 1.9 diesel and it is really nice to drive, plenty of power 💨
Nice made it. Also because your car is larger as many others.
I convert a Vauxhall Combo C, but the bed is max. only 170 cm long.
Great van build! Really good use of space and you made it look very cozy!
