No tanks, armoured vehicles or missile carriers just a group of nations paying their last respects to a very well loved Queen and a big thank you to all the nations that bothered to attend no matter how big or small they may be because it’s you and people like you that make up the commonwealth and may it continue for many, many years no matter what some countries may say
The beautiful, majestic horses, maintained at a funeral dirge pace, the hundreds and hundreds of soldiers... the thousands and thousands of people there in respectful silence and sorrow... the hundreds and hundreds of years' history and tradition... the planning, the training, the discipline, all come together at that moment before the world in honor of and mourning for the monarch who had represented them all for so long... It was a sight and sound to behold, spectacular and magnificent and never to come again 🇬🇧
done with all the pomp and history and precision and splendor for which England has such a history of. a great send off.. we shall rarely see in our life time.
I think it brought home the meaning of the Commonwealth to see the parade led by the Mounties and to watch service personnel from all the different countries of which the Queen was head of state taking such a proud part in the procession. I felt sorry for those poor lads in the foreground who seemed to be permanently saluting, though. Their right arms must have been aching!
On the day it was announced that the Queen had died I felt as if I had been waiting my whole life for this to happen. It still came as a numbing moment to hear it announced. But the lady was seen off in a glorious style only we British can achieve. I went and read my oath after the funeral just to remind myself what I had sworn to do back in 1961 on joining the Army and that it was still an oath to her heirs and successors and now the King. I saw or rather heard the crunch of marching feet at her father funeral on a winters day in 1952, holding my grandfathers hand. I was too small to see the procession, I only heard the beat of the drum and the crunch of boots. I was only seven. I was proud to wear my cap badge with HER crown and proud to serve her in my own small way as a soldier.
Impressed by the way of mourning of all people marching and viewing as well from the UK as the Commonwealth. Thank you very much for filming & sharing this. 🌷 Love from Holland
Very proud to see our RCMP near the front. Her Majesty’s favourite horse was Burmese, a gift from the RCMP and Canada. Still hard to believe she is gone. Elizabeth II - Requiescat in pace.

Also, great to see the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Gurkhas. So many other countries represented, what a wonderful sight. Thank you for sharing this amazing footage.
I wonder if the Queen herself had specifically requested that the police riders up front be all women, Audrey Christie...she was, after all, a very experienced horsewoman herself. When watching videos of Changing the Guard I've always been impressed by the horses of the Met police, which to my untrained eye seem much better behaved than the ones in the Household Cavalry. But this was perfection itself. Many thanks to MMView for the lovely video!
The Four RCMP on Horse showed that our Queen had a very close connection with My country (Canada). She had a very special bond with the Canadian RCMP for many years. One of the pallbearers in Scotland is Fijian. He has made his parents very proud. I don't understand why people prefer looking at their phones instead of the real activity.
I like to take a quick photo with the best of 'em. But had I been at this particular occasion, I would have put my phone/camera away and let those historical and incredibly moving moments make their way directly onto my retinas - and brain.
I agree. You can miss so much of what is happening right in front of you . It was a time to just let the whole history of the occasion sink into your mind and heart.
This is a good angle. I didn't realise there were so many bands so wondered how the music was so loud. Also noticed all the drums battle honours were blacked out.
How uncomfortable it must be to march with reverse rifles with the other arm behind your back to graft on to the rifle behind. Notice, the Royal Navy had rifles on the opposite side to the Army. Great footage even though your arms got tired a couple of times and the picture dropped. Nobody can do a parade like the British. RIP.
They do 'Change Arms' after so many paces just as they do when marching with sloped arms. In fact you can hear the command out of camera shot. Officers do the same with their swords.
Great video well done . I felt a bit sad for the police on the other side of the road as they had to spend the entire procession facing a blank wall . What are they going to tell their grandchildren in years to come . Great shame the bands did not include the Handel funeral march , imo the most beautiful of all the funeral marches .
