I have a Maytag with a useless “power element”. I’m not sure if it’s never worked properly or just a waste of stove top space. I wonder if we can change out the power element for a regular one ?
A thing that good service people do when reconnecting the connectors is squeezing the back pard of the connector that makes connect with the element spade. This ensures that there is great electrical contact between the two. To clarify just squeeze the back not the entire connector as the connector will not sip over the spade if the front is compressed as well. To clarify even more, squeeze the back part before you slip it over the spade.

i have a kenmore. one day oven automatically came on at middle of night. burn all the cookware we had store in the oven. so for safety reason, we unplug all the oven wires. now I wish to put it back. do you have wiring diagram?
I have a Kenmore cooktop. The replacement element for it is a Frigidaire. Although the connections are roughly correct, the size of the wiring clips is not. There are two large wiring connectors and two small on the element. Does this determine location more so than how they came off the old element?

Great video, but I'm hoping you might have an idea what my problem is. The surface burners usually work, except when the oven gets hot, then some of them won't work. For example the two inner burners of the triple burner won't work despite it being brand new? Any ideas?

My 12” element still has continuity but the male connector that comes out of the element is burnt badly. Female is burnt too and I can crimp on new one, but wondering if it’s possible to replace the male piece? Or is that a part of the whole element?

Replace an element? I found my break (obvious) and used a stainless steel sleeve and crimped it on. Its been working for years now.
Thanks for the video
Can I replace an element with two terminals with a one with 4 terminals?
