Hi, I’m back (in front of camera), finally! And this is how to sew the Tanita Top by Fibre Mood! It’s a simple pattern that’s simple to make, yet produces a beautiful top! Hope you can join me in making your own Tanita Top and love yours as much as I do! :)
I have missed you Sarah. I did not realize you had surgery. I do hope you recover quickly and without pain. You are a darling. Your sewing is so inspiring, so welcome back. Love Sally
Thank you so much for another brillant sew along video- You are my preferred sewing teacher, as I am learning something new in every tutorial you present! You have exquisite taste, and your choice of patterns is excellent. I particularly love the simple modifications you sometimes do that give the best of the patterns. I just got the Tanita pattern, as I am sure I will love from seeing here 🧡 Also many thanks for indicating wich size you did, so helpful to choose my own size ☺️
You are amazing. I love to watch your program because I learn so much. I'm glad you are back. Thank you for the beginner projects. Keep them coming. Peace and love from Australia.
I love how detailed your sew alongs are! You have amazing attention to detail capturing all the parts that otherwise can be confusing when reading a pattern! Excited to make this one!
Thank you so much for another wonderful tutorial, Sarah! I’m still very much a beginner and appreciate your clear an simple videos so much! Also so happy to hear you’re feeling better!!
These tops look so comfortable to wear! Also love the top(?) you are wearing when presenting this video with us! Good to see you post again and hope you feel 100% soon!❤️
Hi Sara! Love your videos. Do you think you could make this blouse without the elastic on the bottom of the shirt? And just lengthen it to desired length? :) Thanks so much.
When you see on bias binding, are you really stretching the main fabric while you sew? I'm wondering because I recently sewed a top with woven fabric (my first garment sewing!), and the neck and shoulders had a lot of puckering. Should I have been stretching the main fabric as I sewed the bias binding on? Or stretching the bias binding when I sewed the double fold down?
You shouldn’t stretch the main fabric, which will make puckering. You don’t stretch bias binding either when you make “bias facing”. In this case, the reason we use bias cut for the bias binding is giving ease when doublefolding it inwards. When you “bias bind” the neckline, you stretch the bias strip in order to make a nice neckline without puckering.

Lovely to have you back and I love your hair. Really like the tops especially the linen jacquard, the texture really suits it.
Aww thank you! My favourite one is also the one out of the linen jacquard!

Glad you are feeling better. What a quick and lovely top!this is similar to 100 Acts of Sewing Shirt No 1 in construction.
Yes, the construction of this top is the simplest just like the one you've mentioned!

Hi Sarah. I love your videos. Thank you for adding your modifications as well. What is the skirt that you are wearing at the end? Beautiful!!
The floral skirt is from Helios by I AM PATTERNS! ☺️
I like the various fabric selections; this looks like a very beginner-friendly top!
Thank you! Yes, this top is super simple to make! :)
I just bought fibre mood 20 and liked this top too!
I should buy Fibre Mood 20 as well! It include so many great patterns!
Thank you for your neckline modification!
You're so welcome! Enjoy!
Deb Dion Love your sew alongs and your fabrics, great pattern.

Lovely video as usual.
Good demonstration. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!
Lovely as usual.
Please don’t worry about how you look. I never judge people on how they look. I wish for you to have a speedy recovery!
Thank you!! ☺️🤍
The top has a very pretty and feminine look and so easy to make. I’ve always liked (what’s called) a bat wing sleeve, it wears with ease
Totally agreed!🤍
Love this!
Hi Sara! Love your videos. Do you think you could make this blouse without the elastic on the bottom of the shirt? And just lengthen it to desired length? :) Thanks so much.
I think it would work well! ☺️ Hope your Tanita Dress turns out beautifully! 🤞
Did you lengthen the sleeves and removed the elastic bottom on the linen viscose jacquard version of this top? Thank you.
I didn’t make any mods beside the neckline! ☺️
Welcome back! Would you please consider a tutorial for the Pattern Fantastique Mersis?
I will consider it! :) thank you so much for welcoming me!

Hi Sarah, how much fabric does this pattern use?
I used approximately 1- 1.5 yards. ☺️
Did you use the cropped version?
I’m not sure! I usually cut my preferred length! 😅
