I treat these videos as a heads up. If I like the concept I will look further. So yes, I appreciate them😊 my favourite game ATM is Dungeon Universalis - the heaviest of campaign games with Middara. An expansion is being kicked on Nov 2nd.
there a lot of games i just look the art to decide if i gonna investigate more because there is simply so many new games each month, so yeah, your videos are prety helpfull to know i might be interested, i watch your crowfounf advice more of a resume of the campaings
52:06 Have you played Dwellings of Eldervale? If you have, it would be a piece of cake (relatively) to learn!

I have! But it’s been too long. The rulebook make sense in a vacuum but at the same time it doesn’t feel like I get the flow straight from the rulebook if that makes sense
I passed on Sublime Dark because there is no rulebook and the "trust me bruh" you will love it attitude. There are so many other games available I will fund another game with more info. Maybe it will be great, maybe it will not. If they reprint it in the future and it turns out to be great, I will check it out then. Too much risk for me when there are so many other games that are available.
I was introduced to it by a friend, he just brought some basic decks and a sidedeck to play around with. Was really nice, it might take a bit more onesided effort, but you won't have to deal with the TCG elements which is quite nice
6:02 To me, Silos looks the most interesting, as it is an area control game which looks pretty simple to learn/play. Then Orbit looks like an awesome game. The board design looks awesome. However, my one reservation is that it is a very tactical game and historically (for me) overly tactical games just don’t do it for me - since they lead to too much analysis paralysis (AP). Therefore, in theory, Orbit looks like a really cool game to me, but will the reality match it? Finally, I tried looking through the campaign page to get a sense of how Ego plays, yet I still really don’t understand how the game plays (no offense, Chris, but I haven’t gotten a chance to watch your video yet) and it seems very convoluted to me - and also the description doesn’t really stand out to me with the bidding/auctions. Therefore, my order of interest in these 3 are: 1) Silos 2) Orbit 3) Ego and if I didn’t have that issue with overly tactical game, my order of interest would be: 1) Orbit 2) Silos 3) Ego
I'm interested in Reef & Ruins but I don't see any reason to back it instead of waiting for retail. I like the historical nature of Ultimate Voyage and I like how it looks, but I'm scared of it after hearing it is sort of half-way between a Euro and a war game.
Great video. A lot of information packed in a relatively short video (approx 3min per game, but 3 min of relevant information!)
Thanks for doing this
Thanks!
It’s very helpful Chris. You’re the only content creator giving a way out of FOMO
Thanks for the shoutout on Overpower, and description suggestion.
Welcome!
Thanks for including Lunar Skyline!

I like that you read the rules even if you end up making a mistake or two, it helps me decide which to look into further
Thanks! Though I wish I was better at not making TOO many mistakes

Added Ultimate Voyage to my consideration list. Will dig through the rule book and see how it feels.
Let me know what you think!

Just a big unknown even with a good track record
Nailed the focus on this one 👍
lol. Thanks!

If You got Calico and Voidfall You got everything!
I don't see voidfall listed in the roundup?

I thought for a second that Sublime Dark was a Resident Evil 1 game because of the cover lol
Oh… For the “Friday” timestamp, I thought you were going to discuss the game “Friday”!
Whoops!
Raising the possibility of crowdfunding a deluxe version of Friday, with 10 expansions and arriving in Gloomhaven size boxes.
@@jamescrennie only 10?
Orbit looks cool.
I know!!
mage noir is pretty dope yeh, picked it up this time around.
I love the idea of it but likely too much construction long term for me repeated play wise and with owning a couple others that also do that
