The negativity around this game has been overwhelming honestly, so it’s nice to actually have someone I watch be as excited and happy as I am to play this game. From what I’ve played, this game has already lived up to my expectations and has become one of my favourite games this year, and I hope it is for you as well.
It’s men on the internet honestly. They are so negative. They need to touch some grass. The gaming community is awful a lot of the times. They already messed with Mass Effect Andromeda. Because of all the negativity the sales dropped and the games were cancelled. Now the Halo TV show was cancelled because they couldn’t attract more viewers with all the negativity.

For the first two weeks it was littered with grifter and incels and it was very jarring. They even deliberately commented on game guides which I honestly don’t even understand if you’re not gonna play it anyways. Now they’ve moved on to the next thing. It will undoubtedly happen again in Mass Effect 5. Having finished the game already I just wish we’d get more role playing options like previous bioware titles such as mass effect 1-3, but other than that I had a lot of fun. Starting my second playthrough as an elven death mage already. my canon rook is a human grey warden who’s best friends with Davrin and co-dad to assan and romanced Neve. I really hope we don’t have to wait another 10 years for Dragon Age 5 and it’s very obvious that there is a plan for future installments since there is an unlockable post credits scene.
@@luisz222 From what I've heard, Bioware is mainly focused on developing Mass Effect 5. And with the Amazon Prime show coming along, Mass Effect 5 could come sometime in either 2026. My guess is that Dragon Age 5 will come out sometime in either 2028, 2029 or 2030.

Same. Just finished it a few days ago. Loved it! Yeah, I of course had my share of critiques here and there. Some of the level designs were too linear, some of the battle music could be too repetitive, and I think the ending, while more or less satisfying to me, lacked a forceful impact. But overall it is a more than a solid game with a story I very much got into, characters that I grew to love and become invested in, and solid gameplay. I especially like the change they made to combat system. Mages could feel too spammy in previous games; just hold down the attack button and let it auto attack. This one has a much more tactical and strategic feel to it. I enjoyed how so much of the lore was wrapped up too. We finally have answers to questions going back to origins, and all the Chantry tales and beliefs have their real explanations now. We see how interconnected the world and it's people really are, and how so many things we thought were wrong. I don't get the hate. But then again, we see this more and more. Self entitled and spoiled brats who go out of their way to review bomb a game, solely because it is not what they PERSONALLY and EXACTLY wanted it to be. They did that with TLOUS2. I give Dragon Age: The Veilguard a solid 8.5 out of 10. For comparison, I give Origins a 9 out of 10, DA2 a 7/10, and Inquisition a 9.5/10

I have played the game twice now, but I still love watching others play it because you can notice so much more when it's not you in control. I am now not sure if Rook actually disrupted Solas' ritual. Even after the statues fell he still turned around to continue piercing the Veil, which is why Varric jumped at the dagger. Something to ponder. I love your playthroughs!

If you go out on the street you'll see the average women being more feminine than anything you can make on the game, I guess inclusivity doesn't include most women.
I absolutely loved your previous walkthroughs of the game so there's no one else whose videos I'll watch when my own computer is not suitable for the game (or the issue with drivers is not my PC's fault and it can be fixed soon). Your Rook is so adorable and funny I can't help but fall in love with her

Lovely to see you so excited for the game. I’ve been playing since it came out and I’m really having fun with it. It’s been hard avoiding all the negativity and the ‘It’s too woke’ brigade - I’m hoping they’ll get tired of trying to ruin everyone else’s fun at some point and leave us alone.
The reason the sliders look lacking is because they also translate to the armor, I found myself reducing all the sliders to the narrowest frame possible as a rogue.
That's something I haven't considered, makes sense! :o Still wish there's a way to morph the armour for extra body customizing but Im loving what's shown here

They actually made Varric LOOK like a Dwarf in this one. That can shaven, blond surfer look wasn't flattering. It distinguished him sure, but it wasn't "a Dwarf". Just like the Dwarves in The Hobbit. Only like TWO of them look the way "Fantasy Dwarves" should look. They improved Varric infinitely in this game.
As a brit, I also love the fact that they went for a more northern voice for Rook rather than the usual southern and more Received pronunciation of the past games.

It breaks my heart how negative the discourse around this game has been. As a millennial who started playing DA in high school, this game is everything I wanted and needed right now (minus the big tatas and fat ass). I have laughed out loud, kicked my feet, and sobbed my eyes out so much over the last week. Finished my first playthrough yesterday, and I'm just grateful to the team for keeping the spirit of DA and being respectful of the fanbase. No, it's not perfect, but it hit the emotional levels I needed and answered decade-old burning questions. It gives me hope for the future, and I seriously think Rook is my favorite protagonist so far. I felt like I was given dialogue choices that I would actually say, the tone was always what I expected, and I got to be the person I am/want to be. I love the heart of this community and the world of Thedas so so much.
I'm sad that the game gets so much hate right now. Personally I'm really enjoying it so far. Have fun with your journey, I'll be back watching after I finish my playthrough 👍

Veilguard really pulled a BG3 with the character creation. “I have finished creating my character! Time to play!” Veilguard: “You need a guardi- an inquisitor. Choose one.” Love, love, LOVE the character creation in Veilguard. So good.

Having not played my main Inquisition file since Trespasser, I was in a full panic of "WHAT DID SHE LOOK LIKE AGAIN?!!!" Especially because I went against all my initial instincts and made a Qunari Rook, and I was finally satisfied with what she looked like so I didn't want to lose that character 😩😩
I'm so worried about this game. Knowing I can't import my DA keep is bumming me out, and the MCU style dialogue is so tiring. I really don't want to hate on it, but it just has me feeling so anxious.
Ngl I started playing Veilguard last night and I have to say that the gameplay is nice and story is ok. I just wish it was open world like Inquisition, the Dragon Age vibe is not totally there this game is so much different then all the Dragon Age games. After 7 hours of gameplay I will have to give this game a solid 6/10. Just wish I spend more time on creating my Inquisitor lol.

It’s cheesy and doesn’t land right a lot of the time but in my opinion it has a charm to it and definitely isn’t the worst dialogue ever like a lot of people are making out to be.

A lot of Veilguard related videos have way too many negative comments. It’s a breath of fresh air to see some people with a positive mind for once.

They said that when DAI came out but most of my character were hot or handsome. Usually spent 20-30 minutes in character making but it was worth it.

The gameplay is really fun so far and it looks gorgeous too.

the character creator is amazing, i got blown away seeing the scar options in somebody else's video but just ugh all of the details and all and im so excited for this journey and the verbal jabs between solas and your rook 😄

Having not played my main Inquisition file since Trespasser, I was in a full panic of "WHAT DID SHE LOOK LIKE AGAIN?!!!" Especially because I went against all my initial instincts and made a Qunari Rook, and I was finally satisfied with what she looked like so I didn't want to lose that character 😩😩

I'm so worried about this game. Knowing I can't import my DA keep is bumming me out, and the MCU style dialogue is so tiring. I really don't want to hate on it, but it just has me feeling so anxious.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard takes some stuff in their character creator from the last Saints Row's character creator.
Ngl I started playing Veilguard last night and I have to say that the gameplay is nice and story is ok. I just wish it was open world like Inquisition, the Dragon Age vibe is not totally there this game is so much different then all the Dragon Age games. After 7 hours of gameplay I will have to give this game a solid 6/10. Just wish I spend more time on creating my Inquisitor lol.

Honest opinion, is the dialogue THAT badly written? Every video cherry picked the same 2 scenes and I really don’t care that much about them if that’s the worst of it.

It’s cheesy and doesn’t land right a lot of the time but in my opinion it has a charm to it and definitely isn’t the worst dialogue ever like a lot of people are making out to be.
