Hah! Love it, ‘Teal’ taking apart ‘Yellow,’ and old School Makita at that! Half the time You're a bit out of the frame; Try tilting camera up some, juss sayin… and part of the time cant see what’s you're doing at all? Some really good detailed explanations at times! Good catch at that washer, very important. Good catch on some of the other parts. And that’s Her! Good job Man!
I snapped my only 3.3mm drill bit for drilling holes for M4 tapping due to chuck wobble. I can't just run out and buy one because they are not a common hardware store item over here. So cranky with Dewalt man.
I just bought mine yesterday and it already has a wobble. ☹️ I don't know if I caused it when I was trying to figure out how to attach a screwdriver bit or what though. Considering returning it now :/ A video on RUclips I used to help me learn how to attach bits uses a method the instructions explicitly warn against doing... but when I was rotating the chuck manually as per the instructions, nothing seemed to happen until I tried as per the video I saw. :/
I've had 4 drills and each one has had slight (very slight) chuck wobble, it's a pain. The one I have now is a DCD709-GB XR, is it possible to fix the wobble without replacing the chuck? the drill is basically brand new yet still has a chuck wobble.
Mine to. I have no Idea why I didn't returned it 2 years ago. Now I am lookig for Makitas, before I spend more on DeWalt. They are usually very wobbly!
@gregroth4696 yes, there is a clutch, make sure that the black collar on the front of the drill is turned so that the little drill symbol is lined up with the arrow on top of the drill just in front of the speed selector switch
@@toolreviewsandrestorations Yep, still slips. Thank you for responding. It works pretty well as a drill not so much as an impact wrench. Thanks again.

Keep the drill bit in the drill and put it in reverse to back out a stuck drill😊

i have only had my drill a couple of months and it already has chuck wobble haha
Great use of the plastic containers to keep all those bits organized....
Thank you!

Thanks mate.
I just brought a second hand drill cheap and it mentioned the chuck is off centre when putting a drill piece into it.. any ideas how to fix
Not sure, it depends what they mean and what kind of drill it is

I would imagine that the same fix I did for this one would work although I’m not entirely certain since I don’t have that model.
Sweet video man
Thank you!
Mine had chuck wobble right out of the box.😂

Thanks for the video, you helped me to decide to buy a new one. Probably Makita! LOL!
What kind of grease did you use for the gearbox?
Regular grease but it’s probably best to have a grease that’s specifically for bearings and gears
He showed it in the video there, ya mook!
no chuck wobble but it slips when under pressure
Of you don’t tighten it enough it sometimes does that but it’s never been a problem for me. Thanks for watching!

I don’t think it’s the chuck that’s slipping I think it’s inside the drill. A clutch of some sort?

I couldn't see any wobble
Thanks for watching. It was there in the beginning of the video although in the end it’s not there since I fixed it.
@@toolreviewsandrestorations ye thats what I mean, couldn't see one at the begging when u showed. Prob was just hard to see.
This is a long video. What was the cause of the wobble? Which part of the clutch failed?
It’s the clutch housing that failed
Try watching the video there, sparky! 🙄
Awesome video thank you brotha 🙏🙏
Thank you for watching!
0:08 nice case tho. 👍
Chuck wobble is the worst!
I agree, that’s why I fixed it.
Chuck Norris is the worst...
