You deserve better Ben , as a member of an 80's band myself without Sax / dynamic drums/ vocal support and decent mixer things just don't recreate- but with the sustainability of your voice it should. Not you , just 'shoestring production values' I would stop doing them until it's possible (and it IS) to get together capable , dynamic band support- Back to earth needs the sax. You are still cool Ben and often, we're all hypercritical of our performances but in the immortal words of Mel B's puppet 'Yuve still Gorrit'..... love and best wishes x.
Sadly this poor young man is a shadow of his old self . Its so sad to watch , What ever substances Ben is on . Its eating him alive in front of your eyes . Someone please help this lad . God Bless him . His manager ect . Needs to step in fast . or this man will die or be very very poorly at the very least . Good luck Ben x
Dss squish ting. Mixed emotions as I say goodbye to the shoestring shows with a 'so-so long' and a 'unfair well, well' as I retire from these -jeez loise ...who agrees? XB
Loved their music, but he was out of tune and sounded breathless. I cannot believe where the time goes, and now these guys are middle aged. I relate to bands of the 80's because this was my era. The nineties seems late to me, and yet it's so long ago.
Total lay goes OFF KEY due to maybe not enough rehearsals .....trust I sung this enough times to know the melody. When you play live each AND EVERY note affects the overall guidance. Thoughts? Y'll problem just are thinking, oh yeah there he goes again , mash up and out to lunch, what a awful shame.....bless......x
Don't beat yourself up, It ain't that bad! As you say, maybe not enough rehearsals! You had "One of" the best albums in the 80's... Pick yourself up, dust yourself down to earth :D and showcase it! ;) Thoughts......... It could be worse, you could be the UB40 that does not contain Ali Campbell! :D :D
Not at all Ben. I loved it.....have the songs on repeat tonight. Really lifting my spirits after a bad time....keep it up my friend. Makes people happy!!x
Some great songs this band had, I always thought this fellow was a cool dude but he has lost the coolness, he would better get clothes that fit him, but great stuff
Fantastic singer Forever ..... incredibile n1

I thought you were pulling together a new band?? You still have a great voice although I wasn't really feeling this performance...Sorry Ben! x
No!! Don't give up. You're far too hard on yourself with this performance. Vocally, you'd smash anyone out there today.
I think you should play dates here in the States like at Lost 80s Live. I'd love to see you live! (I'm in Chicago.)
I think you're cool for actually replying here on RUclips respect man
t1000eg You're exactly right! On Facebook, I made a comment and was so surprised to receive a message. A great guy!

They weren't exactly young when they started!

Sounds cool to me..I liked your new take on "Name and Number" a few years back, too..
My thoughts are it was brilliant as always. Slightly off course in the middle but happens to the best of us lol

Ben, it sounded like you were out of breath which would account for the pitch problems

This is absolutely dreadful. Is it a drum machine or real drums? Vocals are shockingly bad and those keyboards!!
Hes old now
