Then they both know that when she leaves to take the letter to Guangyao, that they may never see each other again. So heartbreaking! The Ml and Fl are acing their roles!

From the beginning of the episode till now, one would noticed that his soldiers are so faithful n they do not mind dying with Tan. The fact that Xu Bojun is dying n still wants to Tan Xuanlin is so surprising 😯😯

Well now let’s break this down, 1st the wedding it was very meaningful and simple, just the two of them.👏🏽🥰She know he was hesitant 😬, but she followed thru. 2nd to write that letter , he wrote the letter knowing the possibility that he would died😣.3rd for the lifelong friend to refuse was mind boggling, but that would give him a chance to rebuild a relationship with her because of the problem and finally for the son to return home and for the father to finally admit his plan and wrong doing to the son, NO surprise!!! But it will back 🔥
We now have Mr and Mrs Tan!!! WanQing doesn't want to wait any longer as a virgin and refuses to be drank and Xualin obediently listens to her with the worry of the life and death battle awaiting. At last he acknowledges Xu Guangyao as his buddy and brother in his suicidal letter he wrote. WanQing doesn't know about it until later which makes her sad and wants to go back to her husband.

Honestly, in the end she deserved a beautiful wedding, but instead she had a man who didn't even want to be with her that night. This story was ultimately held up by her strength of character. When he decides to move to her hometown she had not even contemplated taking her there but it was she who followed him of her own free will.
The Chinese movie I watched before this one, I actually downloaded all the episodes but didn't watch the last few. I deleted them. But this movie right here, from beginning to end is 10/10. Everything: the cast, crew, graphic picture, songs etc, just perfect. If I am not mistaken, this is the first Chinese drama that I am watching that I really, really, really loveeeee the intro-song. God bless all the cast and crew for putting such perfection.

Commander Tan is a charming dignified man. He has the anticipation for the circumstances about to happen upon discovering that they are trapped inside the garrison that is surrounded by Liu Fus' 20,000 troops of soldiers. There is no way to escape from death. He tries to keep away having intimacy with his fiancée who he entrusted to be taken care of by Guangyao (his love rival). But Ms. Mu stand her ground being so much in love with the Commander. The rest is not detailed much. In reality, the agony of having a soldier husband is that the wife or the soldier himself once left the house for a battle could not guaranty if he can come back alive. The soldier or the military men don't even give his whereabouts to his wife once he left the house to freeing threat danger for his family. This is a true to life story carried out successfully by the whole cast of characters and mainly by the lead protagonists. This is nice because it is not an open ending story.
