Thanks man, you have inspired me to give this a device a different use. I am also receiving the Bettermaker Bus Compressor tomorrow, it looks like is a special device as well🤙🏼
I’m glad that you have found additional uses for your limiter! It’s a great piece of kit. The Buss compressor looks like an amazing piece of kit. 👌🏽👌🏽 congratulations.
Very greatest vídeo,Mr.Alec! I am Very learn with your on Channel. What is difference Mic preamp and computer audio for Voice?. I enjoyed this vídeo, lord bless you and family. Many Thanks.
Thank you Felipe. :) For the song, it was the Earthworks SV33 on voice. And the Cranborne Audio EC2. For the talking part of the video it was my Audient ASP4816, with a Sennheiser MKH416. :)
Hello, Did you use it at the end of the master chain? And I wonder if I got high volume RMS with it without apparent distortion? Congratulations on the video!
@@alecbrits Fantastic, do you think it's possible to get master volumes at -8 or -7 RMS with it sounding good? Another question, is there much difference from this Darth version to the normal version?
I don’t know if I would push it that hard, it’s possible, but I would rather let the unit not stress too hard and top up with a BX limiter. The Darth has upgraded OP amps and way sexier front panel.
@@alecbrits I also thought of completing it with a BX limiter. Do you think this update would be audible compared to the previous version? Thank you very much for the answers, I'm about to buy a Bettermaker so I'm not sure which version to get.
@@alecbrits You just sold me a Bettermaker Mastering Limiter. I just want the limiter into the converter with no need for Waves, Ozone, or Fabfilter to set the ceiling and affect the sound.
@@paulmolive1821 I think it’s good to try one, see if it’s the right fit for your workflow. :) I’d love a pair personally. One for the drum buss, and one for the master.
As usual, the background music is outstanding! Really love your content, mate!
Thank you so much!! :)
absolute bananas, so nice sounding unit
Yes!! :D it’s a beast of a thing.
@@alecbrits would be nice to have a plugin version of it too, because the eq is super nice

Thanks for sharing. Excellent demo.
Thank you so much! :)
Nice review, I just bought a Darthlimiter and should arrive this week. Looking forward to it.
Ahh fantastic! :) congratulations. 👌🏽👌🏽
Hi Alec, amazing video thanks! did you compare it to Limiter plugins from Fabfilter or Softube ? Thanks :)
Thank you! I did compare it to the two, the Darthlimiter is very different approaches with the ability to tweak width and saturation.
@@alecbrits Thanks Alec for your answer :)

It is honor receive your respond.
I need one so bad
They are great! :)
This is amazing! is the clipper section analogue?
I believe the whole unit is analog. :) just digitally controlled.
The guitar and vibe remind me a little bit of Bahamas
Would not mind being there today! :)
Sad Hunk is
@3:23 great song is this track also for sale on 24/96
Thank you! Not for sale yet!
Wonder how much of the major tone change when combining the stems is due to the DAC/ADC conversion on all those tracks.
Good question! It’s an Apollo X16.
interesting piece of gear, did you notice (or measure) if after ADC back into the DAW if the true peak remained consistent?
Ya! I think it’s a bit of a monster really. I did not do that specific measurement.
Since it's not a true peak limiter, the peaks will not be consistent.

Thanks! Yes it was at the end of the chain. It’s pretty punchy and clean when not using the saturation functions. :)

I’m a big fan of the BX Limiter. :) the Darth Limiter is the way to go. If you are based in the UK you can order from Studiocare pro.
Could you set a ceiling on this? If I use Ozone, I usually set it to -0.3
You sure can. :)

Can you make a video on how your are using your Handsome Audio Zulu in your chain
It’s on the cards in the future! Lots of other videos to come first. :)
I have a zulu also and love it and I wanted to get a Bettermaker limiter to add to the chain
@@S7V7N_SEAS they are a great combo!
zulu review please ;)
Hehehe… maybe.. :P
