    If you had to pick one for everyday conditions, Rocket wide or Ultra Joe??

    Looks a lot like a PodMod with a more pulled in nose. I bet a set of AMT’s would be really fun in that board.

      Will have to try those AMT's in the CI Rocket Wide Dthraco! Thanks for watching!

    Great review as always. Keep them coming! Did you try it with twin fins? I remember that CI recommended twins with the original Rocket.

      Thanks Ferdinand! I have not but I reckon these guys would work the treat:

    Good review, I would have liked to see different construction options like the spine Tex and different fin boxes like fcs 2 and maybe talk about the quads or even five fin options and what it felt like under your feet

    Im torn between the Rocket Wide and the Average Joe. Which is better for 1 to 3FT waves?

    • @Comparesurfboards
      @Comparesurfboards  5 лет назад

      Hey ReddChicken Man, is that 1-3 Aussie or US? And what wave type? Flat/mushy, steep/hollow, etc.?

    • @reddchicken
      @reddchicken 5 лет назад

      1 to 3 ft US, specifically Cowell's or San Onofre,San Clemente. So Flat/Mushy and 1-3FT usually. It's a bit hard working with mushy waves on my PE White Noiz.

    • @Comparesurfboards
      @Comparesurfboards  5 лет назад +1

      I don't know the waves but it sounds like you want something for really small, weak, mushy. I think you'd be better off with the Average Joe or something similar!

    Seems very similar to the lost short round, but with a swallow tale. Loved the short round, may try this one out.

      Some similarities - fast and flat and nimble enough to throw around when it's smaller! Nice comparison Starvin Marvin and thanks for watching!

    Hey Benny love the vids, please help me out! Looking for the easiest board to get air in small waves. Do you remember the Hayden merlot? Would you say that’s the best board you’ve tried for that in mind? Thanks!

    • @Comparesurfboards
      @Comparesurfboards  5 лет назад

      Hey Kaleb, I can't speak from experience as I don't (can't) do airs...but the Haydenshapes Merlot does seem to be a favourite for punters. The CI Neckbeard, too...and now there is a Neckbeard 2!

      Dude pod mod for SURE. I’m from Texas and have made so much progress on my pod mod surfing Texas mush. I’m 5’9” and 145 lbs and can ride a 5’5” pod mod on almost every condition Texas has and have fun.

    Hey Benny, I just sold my V3 rocket 6ft 34.5 ltr. I loved the board but I need a little more volume and paddle- I'm looking at the Rocket Wide, Psycho Nitro and the Psycho Killer- I surf mostly beach breaks near Sydney from waist to head high and want a board that performs well in all of these. I am 85Kgs and want to stay around that 6ft length with about 36-37 ltrs- what would you recommend?

    • @terenceingram7786
      @terenceingram7786 5 лет назад +2

      Geoff I rode my V3 Rocket for many years. I replaced with bro dims with Psycho Killer and it paddles awesome but the board is weird. Skatey at times and going up in volume has affected it's performance. I suspect I shouldn't have gone up in volume. Held the Rocket Wide yesterday in a shop and it looks the business.
