There was a good reason it wasn't played. You were basically buying a CD of epic DOOM 1 covers, with a bonus shoddily-programmed version of the game tacked on (with no fault attached to the programmer).
Well, there's also the PSX version, but that one's just a different soundtrack with an entirely different approach altogether, so that one's more up to preference.
I love how absolutely hard they went on this soundtrack. They were asked for 5, shot to give 11, and ended up giving, like, 50. I hope the band sees the love for their work one day.
@@gant6962 You do realize back in the early 90s your argument was as valid as saying fire is wet. It did not exist. I'm honestly tired of people who got into Doom with either Brutal Doom or Doom 2016 and think we had MODS when we barely knew how to run the fucking game.

According to some other comments (from other videos of the stuff from the soundtrack), there may have been issues with picking up the drum part from recordings; considering the original starts with a kick-ass drum line, it's likely that this was originally supposed to kick ass at the start as well.
What the fuck were these guys doing in game development... They were clearly talented musicians... Could even just take a sidestep into doing that for other company primarily.
Debo admitir que si Randy Scott hubiera trabajado como compositor de música para juegos, le hubiera ido mil veces mejor. Díos, que tremenda canción, le da mil vueltas al tema original.
Horrible, horrible version of the game. The soundtrack, though. This stuff beats every single other version including even the re-recorded one in the newest port imo. So 90s and so DOOM
Randy Scott wasn't a good businessman, but he was a good musician.
Uh, he hired a band to play this
So yeah he sucked at music too
Edit:nvm, it was his band
He's also an alleged diddler, so he's pretty much just not good company

Damn, that CEO guy was a hell of a guitarist
God damn it I see the joke
See tripwire (regretably formal) ceo. He did some of kf1's ost. God bless
Yes, he was!
It's infinitely ironic that the least played version of Doom by far has the best soundtrack of all, including the PC release.
There was a good reason it wasn't played. You were basically buying a CD of epic DOOM 1 covers, with a bonus shoddily-programmed version of the game tacked on (with no fault attached to the programmer).
I also think the SNES soundtrack is better than PC. Made really good use of the SNES soundchip.

@@RAPTRx-xm7zb Yup, in terms of epicness of the DOOM OST it goes: Original -> SNES ------------> 3DO
3DO might have always been inferior to the PC
But the audio wasn't.
No arguments here
Wait you have the same photo as my steam account hm nice Wikipedia photo.
The only thing worse about the 3DO soundtrack is the lack of a drum solo at the start of this one. Otherwise, it's just great.
3DO's OST is superior to the PC's OST, yes

It started out solid. Then at 0:55 something... new.... something... F R E S H.... but then at 1:46 holy sheeeeeeeit it goes HARD ❤❤
It’s a crime that this soundtrack isn’t on Spotify
War crime
Id buy it on CD
Sounds like a scarier version of the original song while still being awesomely metal.
Its a crap version of an incredible game but wow i loved its soundtrack!!
Mods make the 3DO useless
Mod the 3do soundtrack into the pc version

Mouth is actually agape. This is legendary.
This could be like the hair metal 80s Van Halen or Winger version of Doom
Directed by Paul Verhoeven?
Bobby Prince got much of his motivation from listening to hair metal bands. I think.

Why do I think this soundtrack fits Quake, even though Quake barely has a proper soundtrack?
It wouldn't be too out of place in Quake II

You got Big Gun and Master of Puppets in the same song

Looking at the story of 3DO Doom tells us that rational thinking wasn't his strong suit.
Me fighting against the target employees after grabbing a nerf gun and building a suit of armor from lego ninjago sets.
They should've included this as an optional soundtrack in Doom releeases.
When you put all your development time into music on Game Dev Tycoon.
Doom3DO was music CD with bonus game xD
To the 80's!
This sounds like something from F-Zero
It does doesn't it?
So where to? Fire Field?

this version of this song might be better honestly

Cool DooM track.
Thank God for Redbook audio...
Much better than the PC original, in my opinion.
At some point I’m gonna sit down and play doom 93 on my ps5 but with the 3do music instead
One day i wanna play a Doom Eternal styled remake of the OG with the 3DO version music.
