That's not more powerful than expected. It's exactly as expected: A LOT more powerful than a ps4.
Yo Big N was like F it let’s just cancel Switch 2 and go straight to Switch 2 Pro😂
They legit canceled the Switch Pro and the Switch 2 because the Switch was so damn successful 🤣
@@paintfatpurple7394 exactly, these switch 2 specs are three generations behind already. It's Nvidia 3000 series tech. We are on 5000 now.
@@theblowupdollsmusicand it was a success😊
The chip never went through a hardware revision, the board did, but we can see that the T239 chip became an engineering sample in spring 2022 and was hardware finalized by the Linux public update on September 5th 2022, we know that firmware was worked on for this chip by Nvidia through 2023, so no it was never suppose to launch in 2023, it was apparently suppose to always release in 2024 but was delayed about 5 months for a march 2025 launch. The reasons we know all of these things is because it all can be seen through various updates to Linux (which is public) and the shipping info (which is also public). The T239 chip was never 8nm and these leakers are starting to realize this, and trying to cover their butts.
Switch 2 is sounding like a certified banger of a console.
Sounding like it will be a developers and gamers dream console!
The biggest thing they need is to not be skipped due to power.
@@barcster2003 I don’t care if third parties skip Switch 2 as Nintendo’s first party games are the most important and were the key to the success of the current Switch and the most successful third-party title on the current Switch is monster Hunter rise which sold a whopping 7 million well below Nintendo’s big hitters even Wii U games sold more than that.
@@Adamtendo_player_1 It will obviously have a lot of third party support though. Nintendo missed a lot of ps4 and cross gen games from ps5, they are definitely porting those to the next console. Eldin ring, baldurs gate 3, cyberpunk etc.
These improvements in docked mode would also benefit peak performance or battery life in handheld mode too.
Let's see a sizzle reel already!
If it does end up having that much power, I just hope the battery life would still at least be on par with the current switch.
They would clock down for handheld to save battery.
Nintendo defintely didn't use the biggest battery possible.
agreed. one of my biggest raves about the Nintendo Switch is its really long battery life including the joycon, relatively speaking
Nintendo trying to keep up with time? Ain't no way.
I think people forget ps6 will probably be out.
Ikr this is a first genuinely shocked there gonna have to convince me hella hard with the switch 2 because so far the steam deck has been a great upgrade
@@barcster2003 in around 2027 so that’s a long time
@barcster2003 ps6 will will be more expensive and sell even less than 5
@@Mally_02steam deck is barely relevant
While Nintendo has stopped prioritizing Graphics & Power since the Nintendo Wii (7th generation) or debatably even the N64 (5th generation), and understandably so, I'd still be very gladly happy if the Switch2 ends up slightly surpassing the PlayStation4-Pro's CPU/GPU while at least keeping-up close-enough to the XboxOneX's CPU & GPU, because shrinking the gap of Graphics & Power between Nintendo vs PlayStation & Xbox during the current-generation helps third-party games have way more stable multi-platform releases than they already do have. Of course, I also don't want the Switch2 to be just as powerful as the PlayStation5 and/or XboxSeriesX|S, because while higher-quality and faster-GPU still matters, it is not the only important factor required to make Nintendo's new gaming consoles a success! They should also prioritize the designs & gimmicks that should potentially help the Switch2 sell well as the Switch1 did (if not better).
it would fall in line with an xbox series s and to be frank, i'm fine with that. The advantage the switch 2 will have though, is DLSS which is far better than generic upscalers or FSR.
In the end, we know third party publishers are excited at least so it does seem like we finally may get more day and date support in the next few years, on a nintendo platform outside of japanese publishers. It has been a LONG time since nintendo got that treatment.
I think the price might be higher than people think if it’s really that more powerful but still day one for me if I can get it 😅
I Was already predicting it would be $400-$450
@@benfiske1 yeah I’m leaning towards 450 too
Start saving the pennies 😜
Switch 2 better be OLED!!!
It’s not. The leaks say it’s Lcd.
I'm not getting Switch 2 until it gets a OLED upgrade. Fine with my original Switch OLED for the next three years
@Wario1382 if you plan to use it out of dock mode, then that's when screen technology matters. I think most people keep it docked, so it doesn't matter
This happens when people use their inside sources as actual representatives of the companies, rather than view them as having their own personal opinions.
This isn't Nvidia's product, it's Nintendo's! What a customer does with their product isn't Nvidia's concern, especially since they would have gotten the majority of their money up-front.
This sounds like a case of Moore's Law's Nvidia sources being confused - AS INDIVIDUAL OBSERVERS- as opposed to some internal company issue. Nvidia's only job is to produce what the customer wants.
Thank, Nathaniel RumpleMinze! Love the new set up... definitely hyped for the next console and reveal.
so you do believe that the rumor about nvidia being fustrated with nintendo is true or atleast has credibility?
Isn’t the current switch 0.5 teraflops in docked mode… so we are talking an 8 or 9x boost in teraflops. At that point I don’t think it really matters which it is.
*393 gflops
@@himakc2893 Wdym?
Is it though? …. If one even just thought about this for several years, it’s made sense that Nintendo needs a console at least as powerful as a XBSS (in practical performance and what it can do) to make sure they are getting most of the same games the other consoles are. This seems perfect. What did everyone think… they’d be fine releasing something at the level of a PS4 this far into the cycle of consoles like the PS5?
Wouldn’t be the first time lol
Well looking at Nintendo’s console history. Their home consoles have been underpowered since the Wii. While their portable consoles have always been underpowered. So looking at technology by today’s standards. Most people would expect Xbox One performance portable and PS4 performance docked.
Do not forget that this would be more recent technology than the one used in the PS4
Blacks Ops 6 is coming out to PS4 and Xbox One. I don't think devs care about generational exclusivity these days as much as they care about reaching the largest install base possible.
@@JsYTA My point is it’s snuggled nestled far beyond just a base ps4 so it will be very “future proof” for a full generation. Nintendo hasn’t always been like that.
I like all of those words.
So let me see if I understand this, your saying that the Switch 2 will 4K right? Let me know if I'm wrong.
Rumor is Upscaled to 4k in docked mode. Not Native, but who cares when it looks good?
It won’t be 4K, y’all are in for disappointment but i would be happy if Nintendo choose not to go with 4K because Nintendo’s games don’t need it.
@@Adamtendo_player_1 ????
@@TheGamingTeam101Tgt101 if you want 4K so bad then go to the sinking ships that are PlayStation and Xbox or PC gross 🤮.
@@Adamtendo_player_1bro is living in the past you do realize 4k at this point is the norm now right? 1080p sooner or later matter of fact pretty soon will be out of date like how 720p is
Lets talk games we need for Switch 2 imho we need a sports resort, nintendo land 2, a true pilotwings sequel, and adventure open worl and racing hybrid Fzero game, DK 3D next gen and open world, return to 1080 snowboarding, return to the excite series, super mario rpg 2, kid icarus, VR games, splatoon 4, new stylle of mario kart, nintendo rts using fire emblem/ advance wars chars, new Smash game and mechanics, online multiplayer and community building.
It's a plausible theory at least, I hope it becomes true, we get better battery life and a bit stronger than expected console which is all good.
I’m stoked for a powerful platform!
2 to 4 teraflops of raw power shuld be enough, the must important point besides that is the tools and tricks to squeeze that power in the best possible ways
hey wasnt manufacturing started last year?
Expect the next mario game to look like the movie mario 😮😍
Nintendo will be using the new Samsung GAA technology that Samsung recently announced on the chip and it is rumoured to be will be a 4nm chip
If true that’s crazy how we went from 8nm Samsung to custom 7nm to know apparently a 4nm Samsung node process.
If you're using More's law is dead as a source on this id just stop making videos now.
Why?
@@dogg-paws because most of the stuff he says is completely made up and wrong
Best case scenario it’s on par with the Xbox Series S while docked. We have to be realistic because it’s still a portable device. We all know it’s not using Nvidia’s Lovelace or Blackwell architecture either nor does it have a 4nm Node processor from TSMC.
No its not 4gf nvidea is above series s and the chips around rdna 3 were as the xbox is more like rdna 1 and the 4gf is BEFORE dlss before tensor cores and before ray tracing and before ray reconstruction people have nomidea what there talking about
What language are you speaking?
Well , it is going to release in 2025 so it has a chance to be even more powerful than the Series S
Thanks for the video!
Isn’t Moore’s Law is Dead not reliable?
He is very reliable, at least about Switch 2 information, NVIDIA in general and even PS, he is the one who leaked all PS5 Pro specs

Any switch fan is desperate for news it's coming but still so little info
You know Nintendo will clock n lock the switch 2's cpu
You mean its still exactly as powerful as weve known its been since 2022.
There is no node shrink for sec8nm on duv. It's a node at its end.
No it’s more powerful than we thought. The node process is apparently a custom 7nm Samsung node process.
@ZackSNetwork more powerful than you thought. Exactly what everyone who's been following since the lapsu$ attack has known.
There is ZERO anything to that rumor, which isn't even a rumor. It's a made up story.
@@ZackSNetwork it's more powerful than you thought. Just means you thought wrong the whole time.
We've known exactly what it's going to be since the Lapsu$ ransom attack.
According to the rumous it will be as powerful as a ps4 pro, that would be great!
It should be more powerful than that tbh. PS4 Pro is a very old console
I can definitely see the next Nintendo console being closer to PS5 in terms of power and technology
@@cheerful_crop_circleit’s rumored to be between the PS; Pro and Xbox Series S. But that it will have upscale tech.
@@cheerful_crop_circleWell the CPU is significantly more powerful than the 8th generation consoles. It also has very fast internal storage that’s faster than Sata SSD’s. GPU wise its architecture is 4 years newer than the Polaris architecture in the PS4 Pro. The only limiting factors will be thermals and memory bandwidth. I expect close to Series S performance while docked and faster than a PS4 while portable. With DLSS it should have a cleaner image on a big screen than the series s.
@@ZackSNetwork But why should there be a difference in performance between handheld and docked mode? The current Nintendo Switch has the same performance both in handheld and docked mode (only resolution changes)
This just reads to me that again Nintendo is making sure everything’s good to go before they give us trailers and eventually a release date. Which we’ve heard their really trying to take their time and do this right. So hearing that they got a cheaper way to get what they need isn’t that far fetched.
😂 you can’t release a switch 2 without new Zelda content cause it won’t sell like they want it to. Link is the Goat
Mario kart sold 10 times more than zelda even animal crossing sold more
@@angelvillegas9604 So a mario rpg cant beat a zelda rpg mario needs help to outsell link. Wasn't link in the most recent mario cart thats probably why it sold so much hahahahahaha
so yeah mario kart needed help from link to out sell link but mario galaxy couldn't out sell breath of the wild. Link is the goat.
Link > Mario
@@RetroGoosen-ux8ty your not making any sense
No way in hell is that possible.
A die shrink did happen for the tegra from 20nm to 16nm.

wait didn't the EU pass a law that batteries had to be easily replaceable in electronics around mid 2023? that may have been a factor in the delay due to nintendo being forced to redesign it

a couple weeks from now and hopefully we have something from nintendo about the next switch.
Forget that I want to know what new Games are coming hopefully Prime 4 will be shown in this direct.
@@theterribleclaw4285If I had to guess they want to show off those big games as launch titles for Switch 2 (same as Pokémon ZA) so they can show the game running on much, much better hardware in trailers

Sounds like the switch 2 is going to be really expensive console. A More powerful switch 2 console means a more expensive switch 2 console.
If it has good hardware it’s worth it
Even if it's powerful it can still be fairly cheap, if redmagic can put out a phone with flagship specs that beats the best Samsung plus more for for as cheap as they do then it shouldn't cost too much for a system that has no cameras, no top end oled, lacks multiple layer cooling and has a cheap plastic body.
Switch 2 performance might be the equivalent to iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max without phone and camera, but with CPU, GPU, 12 GB RAM, Internal Storage, and Battery.
IPhones cost 10 times more and have no fan to stop the overheating
iPhones GPU is trash compared to Snapdragon, it'll be closer to those which have GPUs capable of 4.7 tflops+, nvidias GPU will be better
what if the switch 2 is more powerful than the PS5?
It won’t be, but that’s fine since it’s a hybrid system. It’s rumored to be slightly above PS4 Pro. Which is awesome for a portable system.
It definitely WON'T be.
Do you really think we have a means to produce that kind of power on a HANDHELD at a reasonable price?
@@Bandorn Docked mode, again rumors say things that may not be true, so in that regard I want it to be on par with PS5 as far as raw power.
@@J_G_Network power wise PS4 Pro, but upscale might make it look just as good as PS5. DLSS is going to be awesome.
It’s impossible with our current technology available in such a small device and form factor. Especially when we know it’s not even using Lovelace or the upcoming Blackwell architecture.
👍👍👍😁😁😁
