- After unintentionally stretching the last shop to cover more than a month, we were well overdue for a trip to the grocery store. I set off early to our local Aldi store. Here are the products and prices at 9 November 2022.
Thank you for making this video. I am off to Aldi in the morning and I was looking for some inspiration of some new products to try x
I went to Aldi this morning and the red capsicum where huge, almost the size of a babies head. I did a stock up on meats and veggies and have spent the afternoon making 7 meals. 6 for the freezer and zucchini, lemon and bacon frittata for dinner tonight. I've got several more meals I need to do to. I usually don't cook them, just slice, dice, season and bag. Saves me time later when I can't think about what I'm going to do.
Those cake in a mug are absolutely delicious, the sticky date one is the best
So glad to hear that. I saw the sticky date there. Now I want to rush back soon and grab that one too! :)
Love Aldi. I was tempted to buy those cake in a mug... Look forward to seeing some of your meals! When you say you didn't shop for a month did you not have to get milk or anything in that time?
Hi Sonja. I should have clarified; I did send hubby to the store on occasions for milk and bread. We also purchased a carton of eggs during that time. For the most part, though, we shopped the pantry/freezer until they were bare.
I love your grocery hauls. You often inspire me to try things from aldi I haven't tried before. I have a packet of the apple slice bikkies in the pantry ready to go after seeing how much you like them :)
Thank you, Amy. I used to be reluctant to try new Aldi things but I enjoy trying out different products these days. I can't say they are all a hit but you never know until you give it a go.
Argh I miss cocktail hot dogs
Can I ask a question? Why would you buy diced and sliced chicken at a higher price than the whole breasts? It takes two minutes to prepare them yourself and save quite a bit of money.
Obvi the preference is for convenience over money. Some people have plenty of 💰 but not enough ⏱
@@zo_471 guess it is just my frugal nature coming out. :)
Thank you Christie great to see you again. Thank you for sharing your shopping 🛍 haul.❤️👋
Hi Maree. You are absolutely right about the chicken. That said, even if they had more of the whole breasts in stock, I think I might still have purchased the pre-sliced at this time. It is not a smart financial decision but with working such long hours lately (and then commuting several hours home again), those few minutes are worth the added cost to me right now. I have to admit, until I got home and went through the pricing, I didn't realise just how much pricier per kg it was. Once life settles down again, I'll be back to dicing it up myself. :)
@@AtHomewithChristie I hope you were not offended by the question. I have never purchased pre cut anything to be honest. But then again, I am retired now and have the time. I don't always have the energy though. :)
When will they do online shopping?
I didn’t realise you were in the upper hunter.. I’m at newy 👋
It's a small world. :) I'm not very familiar with the area yet. We moved here in March from the Central Coast. We both still work on the Coast so that hasn't left much time for getting to know the local area..... Aldi is about as far as I have ventured. lol
That’s a fair commute nonwander you are tired and time poor
How much would it be if you didn’t buy meat ?
Do beer batter fries actually taste like beer
Hi, will you be posting anymore videos?
Thanks for your comment, Sonja. You gave me the kick-along I needed to get back into it. I have a new grocery haul uploading as I type. :)
