one of the best interpretations of this piece ever heard, such a good performance, thanks for uploading this piece, it's a masterpiece, also, you aced the pianississimo part, grand chapeau! as what French people say
Such a confident performance! I must say, some of those right-hand leaps look NASTY! And the "pianississimo" finale was so well-controlled! Great work conquering this piece!
This damn piece, fkn Alkan with his wide ass 5 finger chords. I physically can't play many of these chords cus my hands aren't big enough. It's a shame, would love to try some Alkan music
Arpeggiate quickly. Sometimes you can practice stretches. Look at how Ashkenazy plays, cause he can only reach an octave, maybe a 9th. (I can reach a 12th if I stretch, so take my small hand advice with a grain of salt).
Wow that's an astonishing performance. Btw I'm currently working on winter wind and I was wondering if this was harder than winter wind and if yes how much harder is it?
I'd say the Scherzo is around the same level, perhaps somewhat easier. They are both very difficult but the Winter Wind is one of the harder Chopin etudes while this is one of the easier Alkan etudes. I'd rather play this, to be honest.
@@paeffill9428 No, Alkan's Scherzo Focoso is much more difficult than this- Scherzo Diabolico is considered to be the easiest in the etude set (although it is still difficult).
@@paeffill9428You said "one of the hardest scherzos" and I responded that you were wrong, because there are scherzos much harder (the example being Scherzo Focoso). Diabolico looks difficult but it fits the fingers well and it's probably no more difficult than a Chopin Scherzo. And it's a bit easier than Winter Wind- if you can play Winter Wind well you will certainly have the technique to learn this.
Great accuracy. My hands can't even reach the wide chords in this piece :(
Thank u for coming back to my vid :)

If you play it wrong you’ll smack your fingers into the black keys on the way up, and that hurts.

Complimenti! Dev'essere una vera maratona per le mani!

Can't tell.
It's pretty hard to quantify the difficulty, plus I have never played winter wind.
