I love to see spaces that are made absolutely for the joy of the inhabitants. You can see how she loves all these pieces as she touches each one so lovingly. Wonderful and so full of her personality ❤️❤️❤️
Somehow sophisticated but quirky and casual yet curated all at once. Truly original, love it!
One of the coolest loft without the typical/clichéd interiors - the art collection and the hard/soft mix of furniture make all the difference. The all stainless steel kitchen is the boss.
MT MF. Stop being such a hypocritical person.
@@amandinemanddyna2705 You find my statement hypocritical? Which part?
Incredible. I thought I saw everything until... the Hermes swing!
Unique, colorful, collected - and passionate and personal. This is about the best personal art collection I've seen in one space.
Those macarons look (and sound) so delicious. It's my favorite dessert.
The homeowner is a delight and I loved her suit/blouse. Very chic.
I love her home. She buys what she likes and doesn't care if it matches or not.
My favorite episode so far! Elisabeth is so charming. Her affection and enthusiasm for her art is captivating. Typically I am not a fan of white walls yet these spaces were - WOW!
Beautiful, eclectic, and colorful!
So pleasurable to listen to this intelligent and non pretentious woman showing us her home. Looks like a beautiful living space. Thank you
I enjoyed Elisabeth's tour of her home. I was surprised that a traditional tea room owner would have a more modern look environment to live in. I love how passionate she is about her collection of art and her twin sons. Cute doggie.
What an incredibly charming, joyful woman! I love how she hugs her artworks. I also like when people say that something is very New York, and it's something I would never have thought of (brick walls).
Alison you forever out do yourself. This episode was as much as a visual delight as an escape into sophistication. Thanks for sharing as always.
I see an arty apartment that belongs to a bachelor and I would never put that together with that sophisticated lady, she is amazing. I love this kind of surprises.
What an amazing space. The computerized screen on the wall with the person continuously running, in the background, was cool. I'm envious of the swing hanging from the ceiling, as I always wanted one. The beautiful large modern art piece of the woman's head caught my eye right away, as well as her dog pieces. I'm glad she saved those wire chairs. I disliked them growing up, but feel nostalgic about them now. And now, if you'll excuse me, I have a robot to buy. She taught me by showing hers that we're never too old to indulge ourselves in whimsical fantasy pieces, something I had denied myself. Thanks for the eye-opening tour!!
I agree. Very inspiring!
She obviously has endless funds to pursue her passions and buy buy buy whatever her heart desires. Bravo!
Macaroons are Italian coconut cookies. Macarons are the French dainty treat. Laduree is a treat for the eyes and stomach.
A uniquely appointed home with interesting art, objects, and finishes. Very cool. She’s cool! I want to be her friend. ✨
So unique - obviously the result of a lifetime of collecting and curating.
Oh my word! What a privilege to see your beautiful home.. thank you so very much for sharing this video! Baba papa and baba mama I never thought I would ever encounter them again! Takes me back to my own childhood. How simply amazing 🤩 I love your mix of French, African etc. Thank you! Thank you! 🙏🏼
Absolutely stunning and unique!
She has put a lot of thought, passion, and love into the objects in her loft. They are not my taste but I totally respect and appreciate her style.
One of the best New York spaces I have enjoying seeing. Thanks to the lovely and charismatic Elisabeth. Your loft is a dream for many who long to live an artistic existence. One day I hope to have tea and macarons in your lovely tea room, Laduree.
Eye candy !!!! A show stopper for sure ❤
She is a true collector and she transports you to France when you visit her Tea room in SOHO🥂
Living in a museum everyday! One of a kind! I love it!
Best home tour by far. So interesting!
Interesting mix of high art, toys, decorator pieces and kitsch. (I wish I could eat pasta with tons of butter, cream and cheese and remain so slim!)
The trick is French women eat anything they want, but eat very very slowly and not the whole thing.
@@brendaguerin5423 It's all about portions. The amount of food on an American plate is appallingly huge for French sensibilities.
Her love of art works so beautifully in the loft apartment. Who wouldn't want to wake up in an art gallery everyday. The street scene was lovely as well and so convenient to wonderful shops and cafes.
I thought that the painting was of her; she is so beautiful.
What a fabulous apartment with so much character. Those macarons looked delicious. Will have to try some when I come to New York. Thanks so much for sharing another beautiful home with us.
Absolutely stunning. Style is so hush hush yet so loud in character and intention.
I know I can’t have tea at her home, but I do want to go to her Tea House in Soho and have tea with my friends. ❤
Fabulous! What a beautiful woman and home.
Elisabeth you home is beautiful I love the white wall with accent color your choice thank you very much to share you gorgeous home😂
🌿 ~A beautiful light bright space & perfect for her expansive colorful art pieces. ~I love it! 🌷
Absolutely delightful to be part of this loft tour. Loved it all❣️
❤ love all that open space! Who knew that you can get such a beautiful place in New York❤
Thank you for the video! Have a brilliant day!
Wonderful loft and everywhere you look has something beautiful and interesting!! Love everything especially the Hermes Swing!!!💙💙💙🏴🏴🏴
A woman of great taste.
Irrelevant if you align with every object or instinct in there - the **space, iself, is beautiful, vibrant. What a dynamite and dignified way to get to function/live in NYC. You can really breathe in there, and yet - feel embraced. Lucky hostess.
What an incredible space! Thank you Allison.
I think the best decorated houses are those that are decorated with what people love, in their personal style.
From one Leo to another, I love her space. The white bricks really remind me of seeing "An Unmarried Woman" back in 1978 when I was in my early 20's. I fell madly in love with loft spaces because of that movie. I love her love of crystals too because I have a few myself. Elisabeth is such a charming hostess. Thank you Alison and to Elisabeth for allowing us to be invited into her home.
Alan Bates 🔥
Was Al Pacino in that movie?
@@derricklangford4725 Alan Bates and Jill Claybourgh
Beautiful, interesting art.
My favourite so far!!
This was such an interesting home! I really loved it… and the way she talked about her was wonderful!
❤️you,Homeworthy ❤️
Amazing and so unique!!
She would be so fun to hang around with!!!
Amazing taste in art ❤
The best macarons on the planet! Good ppl, it’s not a macaroon, those are the coconut cookies. It’s a maca-RON. Love her artwork, especially the piece by the live cactus.
I enjoyed this unique and colorful 🧡💛❤️ and that cutie pie doggie 🖤
Une femme audacieuse et charmante avec un bel appartement.
Admettons que Mme Holder a du style à revendre. Superbe tenue, son chemisier et les bottillons me font craquer.
And the apartement is very interesting, I love these spaces that speak to the owner's personality. The "la gueule" made me laugh out loud, it's an expression I use often... in my head lol. Thank you once again, learned a lot.
Such a beautiful home. I love the macaroons 🤤💗
I really enjoyed this episode. This home is so cool
This was delightful. Thank you. I was having a stressful day and I just stopped and watched. It changed my mood, my mind -- pretty things will do that. Thank you again. Merci! Bisous!
I adore the African piece
Cuando dice “es una pieza que compre en África” … siempre me sorprende porque nadie generalizaría así con una pieza de arte europea. No es lo mismo un país que otro. Y en África en este momento hay …54
She.
A pure pleasure!
Very interesting apartment. Love the colours, it feels lively and fun.
Love the swing
White dog vase, cairn terrier, my favorite dog..I have one..real one lol…Otis Ray a Wheaton Cairn who is 6 and the love of my life.. love the apartment, so unique and beautiful❤❤
I'm roughly the same age and I'd love to be friends with her! She seems so interesting. I groaned a little at the Hermes swing, but then the story was so charming that it made sense. I worked in Soho for years, probably blocks from her, but I never realized there was Laduree there!
i like your place thank you with love from T&T💕
Freakin Huge amazing space.
um dos meus episódios preferidos 💖🇵🇹
Salad recipes and that special Sunday Family pasta recipe would be appreciated.
What a wonderful space! Can someone tell me the name of the incredible female African artist who has done the art works with the girl in sunnies and yellow bits?
This lady has an alter, I love it even more
The last couple of homes have been unreal
Wow
What a fun loft. Tell me Alison that you indulged in a few macarons ☺️!?
💗💗💗
I was waiting for her to talk about the Beyonce painting. I'm sure it has a cool story
I don't particularly liked the robots, but the vintage ones look so cool and I can totally understand why she stole the jewelled one from her brother. It would be so stimulating to visit her loft, it's an art gallery with bedrooms, super cool even though not my style.
i once was in france in marsell but never again
Love this! Did anyone catch the name of the African artist of the piece she got for her birthday? it's gorgeous
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Laduree? ❤ WOW Moneyyyyy lol
Amazing taste culture and personality…. Can you please share the name of the business in Chinatown that made the light words? Thank you
Lil Kim photo is 🔥!!!
Definitely not my style but I can appreciate it
I am pretty sure Elizabeth has a couple of Euphorbia succulents in her room. One tall and branching and the other one on her table. I can't see the table one clearly enough but she mentioned it as her favourite. It is in the white pot and grow a 'little bit crazy' which she likes it for.
She will be able to tell by the white sap it bleeds from the succulent plants when damaged and sometimes by just touching them.
She may know but if not please be careful. It is poisonous and damaging to skin and eyes etc. The sap burns the skin. Her little dog also may unknowingly touch or eat it.
Her home is lovely.
I’ve been to Laduree in Paris , several times as well as in Dubai . The NYC one wasn’t good at all hope it has improved . Her taste is very eclectic . great space
Deb here. I see she has the composter on her counter. Would like to get one, too.
With all due respect, the foyer table and living room sofa is Warren Platner, not Harry Bertoia. Love Laduree!!
She gives so many details about her pieces, ex. her dining chairs, their country of origin, designer name, era etc.but for all the pieces from Africa, there is no mention of even the country in Africa that they originated from. She loves the sculpture in her room with the twins, but shared abs. nothing else. I expect better esp. from someone that grew up around antiques and has an appreciation for these subjects.
Many times, this complaint is valid but she gave the name of the artist for that stunning woman's portrait (but I couldn't quite catch it because of her accent) and gave quite a bit of detail about the meaning of the painting. She said the sculpture was a gift so maybe she genuinely didn't know a lot about it.
@@08pixiedust and what about her large 'African chair'? There are no excuses that need to be made.
Not my style but love the swing!
Where is the new video? 😕
What a nice girl..She has a robot collection!
The real deal
You are an art collector 👍😋😛😝😜🤪 I collect traditional and modern art but not as valuable as yours hopefully in Future
Beautiful and charming! Sadly, Elizabeth keeps calling all her Warren Platner furniture Bertoia. Warren Platner was an architect and interior designer born in Baltimore Maryland. His furniture was retailed in the Knoll showrooms. I hope this is read far and wide to put an end to this misinformation. Lovely space indeed. 17:54
Yes, the Platner pieces were originally introduced by Knoll in the 60s, and they still manufacture it to this day.
I think she only had one Platner chair in the living room and two Bertoia and Bertoia dining chairs. Are the mesh ones not Bertoia?
@@08pixiedust she had a Platner table in the entry and a Platner loveseat in the living room, both of which she called Bertoia.. Indeed the dining chairs are in fact Bertoia. She is a curious woman, hmmmm…..she does indeed love her home.
It’s not entirely decorated to my taste, but it’s a great size. and layout. What I could do with a place like that…,.
Omg. We got it. U got twins. Congrats. Every second sentence....
I only heard her say twins once, then she simply referred to them as “kids”. 🤔
Pls take note Macaron should not pronounce as macaroon … totally different cookies
Who was the African artist?
Would love to know too. Could not quite make it out with her accent.
@@08pixiedust I researched Thandiwe Muriu 11,000.00. Love it!!
@@sbdesignexcellence2966 Thank you! It's gorgeous. Wish I could afford it myself!
😅
Maca-RON. Not maca-roon.
I can't believe this woman called that beautiful traditional dressed warrior carving from Africa "this creature"! Did I hear correctly? Creatures are on "all fours" or from "another planet"! No???
